Very odd behavior from that lad, really would love to know the reasoning behind that (we've just bagged, how have you the time for camera consciousness?)

On the whole though the HF do absolute wonders for this football club, anyone that doesn't believe so is either jealous or blind. Whether you like it or not they ain't no sideshow, as someone said - traveling to germany to pick up the greatest display Wembley has ever witnessed. Now that's historic, that's atmosphere, that's football.

Not to mention the relentless singing which like it or not is the spark and catalyst to 90% of the atmosphere at selhurst. This enables our title of 'best fans in the premier league' to be a sort of generally understood phenomena from my experience speaking to people.

Not perfect by all means but i think its a - you don't appreciate what you've got 'til its gone - sort of value.

Fan atmosphere is the most important facet for my love of football. May as well sit at home and watch it on the box if it wasn't.

Well said Georgey W,you summed up most peoples feelings about being a Palace supporter, young and old have their own ways of watching matches.
I fall into the older bunch but admire the HF for the atmosphere that stems from them both home and away.
Our support is the envy of the Prem,so why get on the HF's back yet again when one idiot lets the side down, calling them a sideshow just confirms that for whatever reason you are not able to be present at matches,if you were you would quite possibly realise what they contribute to the matchday experience which is certainly appreciated by the players and management of the club.

I go to Stoke away most seasons.

Their famed frenzied atmosphere no longer exists.

As S.Jordan said "Be careful what you wish for"

I'd dropped Townsend for Zaha this week. Gutted. However that was somewhat comforted by having Dann in the side.

Might try dropping Benteke for Townsend next. It hurts that I can only have 3 Palace players in my team.

The idea behind save fabric is because to paraphrase their wording (I will find the statement in a moment) they believe big corporations are destroying football and destroying our youth and fabric is an example of it. Apparently for many football and raving go hand in hand and they feel money talks (closing iconic venues and replacing the sites with expensive housing as an example) and it's sucking the fun out of what is a life ritual... Now off to copy and paste the official HF statement... back in a moment

Our motivations for this banner in support of Fabric stem from what we see as a crackdown on youth culture in London and the UK as a whole. The football terraces were once a place of expression for the youth of this country but were taken away from their rightful owners and replaced with a mass top down sterilisation of the game that sought furthered control and greater profits for those at the top. Our fight is primarily with those who have damaged the game of football but unfortunately negative parallels can be drawn between the decline of UK terrace culture and London's music scene today. Many of the best pubs and clubs in London (The Recreation Ground, SE1, The Port Manor and Cable) have closed in recent years more often than not to make way for expensive flats. London is not Oligarchs keeping their money safe in property, its caning it down the pub Friday night after work, going to the match on a Saturday with your pals, raving till Sunday lunch and most importantly, it is resisting those who try to take our culture away from us. Once again we see the desire for profit attempting to stamp out British youth culture. We will not let this continue.

The loss of the capitals most iconic venue would represent a physical and representative loss in this ongoing battle between profit and the cities youth. Fabric is an institution, one many of us have spent seminal nights in and a keystone in London's nightlife. Saturday afternoons might be for football but Saturday nights are for raving, for many of us they go hand in hand, a weekend not complete without both.

Fabric need cash to ready them for the upcoming legal battle with the old bill. Last time they beat them in court and with support they will do it again. Donate to the cause below.

Together our spirit is unbreakable.

As is with most cases surrounding the HF, I wouldn't let what a couple of the minorities do dictate the general precedent they try to set. There's always a couple of s*** bags giving some sort of grief. I think the seniors/founding core of the HF would disagree with the otherwise negative representation they're given sometimes, as they are arguably the life and blood of Selhurst, and have been for a good few years now.

So when they are seen behaving in a negative way its 'a couple of minorities'? I disagree, they are not angels as some on here like to portray them.
As for being the lifeblood of Selhurst Park. Utter tripe. There are many thousands of fans that went to the game and sang their hearts out long before the HF were around and will probably be there long after they have disappeared. They add to the atmosphere sure they do but there are a few hundred of them (being generous). If a few hundred were the only ones that sang you would not be able to hear the home support. Its loud because the thousands of non HF fans sing along.

For once in a very long time our team gave it large to the opposition and won at a canter.

I couldn't give a fcuk if the HF were singing dancing banging a drum or anything else.

The HF do not dictate Selhurst Park or even represent us and our collective views.

They're a sideshow at best.
