We wanted Pardew gone, but he was like a turd that wouldn't flush. Until Palace paid NUFC to sign him and paid him more money. But once he's gone, nobody at all wanted Carver or McClaren. The fans don't appoint the next manager. The rubbish we were given was down to the incompetence of the board, and their desire to only want a yes man in the job willing to try and only survive. You are assuming history will repeat itself to justify your very existence it seems despite the fact that AP left your club in a far healthier state than what it is in now.Its like you have been brainwashed by an evil dictator who is trying to deflect the farce that your club has become.Evil Dictator.....Mike Ashley I wonder? Maybe subliminal messages in his programme notes

Here's the crux of it. Pardew and the others weren't the problem - NUFC's fanbase wanted and probably still want Ashley out. Why don't they just come clean, forget about Pardew and focus on the real villain of the piece (in their eyes)?

Supported Palace for almost 50 years and all this Pardew bashing and gloom and doom surrounding the team is disappointing. Fact is there has never been a better time to support the team and we are having what is probably the most exciting transfer window we have ever had. Things are changing and yes some players we all love may leave but if that ultimately improves the team then I for one am happy. I loved Jedi and Bolassie I also love Wilf but no one player is bigger than the club. I like the direction Pardew is taking the club, I like the way Steve Parish runs it. I for one am grateful, happy and really looking forward to the next few weeks. It will come right
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

I have to say that we don't appear particularly close to death. Perhaps Pards is incompetent at killing clubs too?

I for one am grateful, happy and really looking forward to the next few weeks. It will come right I am completely with you. Pardew talked today about the need for change - clubs need to adapt, or other teams will peg their style of play and exploit that as a weakness. If we become a team of two wingers crossing to a strongman in the box, I think we'll struggle. I've felt for a while that if we could only get Cabaye and Jimmy Mac back in the fold (especially Jimmy), we might be able to push through the middle and link with our forwards more effectively. Well, they are back and we have Benteke now (and possibly Remy coming soon). I for one feel that Pards is choosing to adapt so that we don't repeat what happened last season. A lot of people are dissatisfied with the process. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Just my opinion, of course. I am usually wrong. Edited by Podyonkers (26 Aug 2016 11.12pm)

Townsend I have always rated but turned his back on Newcastle so would he do the same if our fantastic run continues? Surely you can't blame someone on the fringes of the England squad for wanting to leave a side that was relegated to the Championship so he could keep playing Premiership football? That's just the way the football world works. I wouldn't have any hard feelings if he did the same to us should the worst happen at the end of the season. You have to be realistic.

I'll be honest, while watching the Olympics I haven't been watching everything that closely, but how was Jedi treated badly? As I see it he removed the captaincy from a man who was no longer in his plans and on the verge of leaving. I've backed Jedi, even in his down spells and have so much respect for what he did for my club, but it was time for him to move on.
