Supported Palace for almost 50 years and all this Pardew bashing and gloom and doom surrounding the team is disappointing. Fact is there has never been a better time to support the team and we are having what is probably the most exciting transfer window we have ever had. Things are changing and yes some players we all love may leave but if that ultimately improves the team then I for one am happy. I loved Jedi and Bolassie I also love Wilf but no one player is bigger than the club. I like the direction Pardew is taking the club, I like the way Steve Parish runs it. I for one am grateful, happy and really looking forward to the next few weeks. It will come right Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. Supported Palace for almost 50 years and all this Pardew bashing and gloom and doom surrounding the team is disappointing. Fact is there has never been a better time to support the team and we are having what is probably the most exciting transfer window we have ever had.

Things are changing and yes some players we all love may leave but if that ultimately improves the team then I for one am happy. I loved Jedi and Bolassie I also love Wilf but no one player is bigger than the club.

Far too early to say if our signings coming in have improved us. Benteke was a fortune for an out of form player and if he turns out to be an Akinbadbye or Adebeyor then we look like mugs to the world of football. Townsend I have always rated but turned his back on Newcastle so would he do the same if our fantastic run continues? Cabaye has far from impressed me if I'm honest as he doesn't do the role he was brought in to do? Perhaps Pardew had asked him to do a sitting job in front of the back 4? Gayle sold and was our best finisher at the club (pardews words) sold for small profit and provably has many years ahead of him with another club. Tompkins looked a good backup player at Hammers but injury prone. The jury is out. But one clear improvement needed is to get a decent home record, the best fans on our day but doesn't seem to have the positive effect on the pitch. Surely you can't blame someone on the fringes of the England squad for wanting to leave a side that was relegated to the Championship so he could keep playing Premiership football?

That's just the way the football world works. I wouldn't have any hard feelings if he did the same to us should the worst happen at the end of the season. You have to be realistic.

As I see it he removed the captaincy from a man who was no longer in his plans and on the verge of leaving. I've backed Jedi, even in his down spells and have so much respect for what he did for my club, but it was time for him to move on. The current unrest (if there is any) appears to mainly be money based. The new players are being bought in on current premier league level wages and the old guard who are still in the managers plans are feeling (possibly) disrespected as they haven't been bought into line. If my analysis is correct, then the board have a lot of answering to do. Pardew has a right to manage the players he wants and if that means making tough decisions on old favourites at least he has the balls to do it. Don't get me wrong I neither like or dislike, trust or distrust AP any more than any of our other managers since Sir Steve and he's definitely Marmite, but I'm along for the ride, so I'll just see where it takes me.
