It probably hurt the American war effort more than it helped anyone as well. Absurdly stupid decision, for purely ignorant reasons that denied the US access to a huge resource. Yeah, hugely damaging.....? These comments are pure revisionism with no knowledge of what might of happened if no internment happened. There is no telling how many attacks it stopped.....from zero to many. I think its naivete to suggest that America had no reason to worry.

Of course you're right. How is it in any way inevitable? There was a reason the world laughed when Trump proposed this in the States - it's too nonsensical to even consider.

Which media sources are you using, out of curiosity? Because I think far fewer people laughed than the media might suggest. I am currently in California, with family, and no one that I've spoken to is laughing about that proposition. Actually, especially after the new attacks today, I would say that it won him many followers.

Forgive my "correctness" let alone "political correctness" but you seem to be somewhat overlooking the fact that the internment was a bulk one of all Americans of Japanese ancestry...including "natural native born citizens" who's families had been in the US for some generations.....or can "natural born citizens" only ever apply to WASPS? James Ellroy's recent novel "Perfidia" is interesting about the internment. It's fiction but nonetheless shines a light on the essential randomness and corruption underlying the process in Southern California Edited by legaleagle (22 Jul 2016 7.07pm)

Nail on head. I fail to understand. The Muslim who stabbed the women in France for offending him with their comparative state of undress was feeling marginalized by islamophobic society? No. He was annoyed at the cultural differences when it was HE who was in the foreign country. Are we supposed to change our cultural values and limit our freedom of expression to prevent the poor radicals from feeling marginalized? What a democracy. An alien minority can influence the actions of the majority. Some of these posts make me sick Edited by Jamesrichards8 (22 Jul 2016 10.40pm)

What about all the Indians, Jews, Africans etc who have settled in Europe over the past 50 years. These people you could argue have just as much reason to feel disenfranchised however they don’t result to mindless killings. Making excuses for these dicks whilst trying to put the blame on society is frankly pathetic.

Nail on head. Not really. It's a reality that extreme interpretations of various Islamic texts give validity to killing the enemies of Islam. Islam is only a peaceful religion to those who choose that interpretation of it.....unfortunately if you wish to interpret otherwise there are plenty of violent verses and instructions to follow.
