What about Danny Ings? At 23 he can only improve and let's be honest he's never going to be anything other than a bench-warmer (at best) at Liverpool.

Great shout, apparently ahead of benteke in the pecking order

No, just no.

He wasn't good anough for Reading, ask their fans.

A couple of half decent games at the Euros doesn't mean he's good enough for the Premier league, he wasn't good enough in the championship

Fair comment initially alas I believe that he is a growing player who has the rich potential to progress far under the right, inspiring manager. Forget Reading as he showed what he is capable of achieving on the bigger stage.

Finally, let's be realistic: Palace came close to relegation last season therefore the massive decline in results from early year will sit upon conscience of many a bought in player. We need the type that pulls on the shirt, lives and breathes the team ethic rather than when the next pay cheque is going to be forwarded.

Gignac wants to leave liga mX this summer, would he be a good replacement for adebayor. D Dechamps thought highly of him in the French squad.

Definitely! Everyone seems to say he's class, Jan Huntelaar.

Wilfried Bony would also be great (if only so we could have two players called Wilfried!). I thought he was excellent at Swansea and am sure he would be a good fit for us.

Duvan Zapata was suggested earlier, but his Wikipedia page says West Ham wanted to sign him and couldn't obtain a work permit.

Another suggestion, although I don't think we'd get him somehow, is Callum Wilson at Bournemouth. Had a brilliant start to the season last year before his injury. If he can regain that kind of form he could develop into a very good player indeed.

Anthony modeste scored 15 goals for Fc cologne, although when he was on loan at Blackburn few years ago didn't make much impact.

There seems to be very little love for Troy Deeney on the HOL. I would love him to come. Inspirational leader of the line, and signing him would save our goals conceded column at least two per season.

Instead of babacar, why don't we try to sign vincent aboubakar scored 13 goals for porto last season, looks more promising.

Signed a new deal recently and Leicester had a 30m bid rejected

Two good reasons why he won't come then!
But I'd rather have him than Benteke if we were to be spending 30m plus

Or ....once they are putting a decent run of games together their agent starts hawking him around to the 'big' clubs.

A trifle arrogant I believe.
