The thread on NSC about our supposedly 'derisory' £5m bid for Dunk has reached an incredible 70 pages, and they're still bitching about it now:

What a bunch of screaming little Tarquins they really are.

I am afraid the thread here on Charlie Austin was even worse - after 80 pages and his move to Saints it just kept on going on and on - of course he is injured anyway but he is not ours so why go on like this?

I do love having a browse of NSC. Quite a lot of them seem to be good, funny people and I have a good giggle reading the posts, even the ones that are derogatory towards Place. But some of them are the most bitter, deluded, arrogant fans you could imagine. The idea that they are a better club than us because of their shiny stadium is ridiculous. And when a Palace fan tries to put the point across that we can now pay 30 million for a player they say it's not all about the money ! What paid for your stadium that's sponsored by a f*****g bank ?!

Their attitude towards Glenn going back has been pretty funny as well. Despite him saying in the club interview that, "I've played at a higher level week in week out and hopefully that will help me now."

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.

I haven't read that before; brilliant. As has been said so many times, they really are the gift that keeps on giving

Are they really any different to any other set of fans on their own fansite? Many of the posters on here are equally deluded and arrogant judging by some of the rubbish read.

West Ham are no bigger than us. Newcastle with their attendance of 50,000 for every home game aren't bigger than us. We can find better players than Benteke.

We may be in a higher league than Brighton but it wasn't that long ago when we thought that there might be a strong possibility that we would be relegated whilst Brighton could have been promoted

You say most posters on here are deluded and then go on to say West Ham and Newcastle are not bigger clubs than us. I beg to differ. Both have larger attendances larger grounds and larger squads. Up until this season both have spent more money on players. They have won more trophies than us in their history so how are they not bigger clubs??? O and where are we gonna find a better striker than Benteke?

I think that the W Ham and Newcastle mentions were to illustrate the 'deluded' point. The thing is, at any one time on NSC there will be three or four active threads, running to hundreds of pages, about Palace. I can't say I've ever seen that, with respect to them, on here. I wasn't referring to their being deluded (albeit they are), but rather to their obsession with continual bitching about Palace. I do, however, wish that those posters from the BBS would stay off there, as it gives the Tarquins the attention they crave.

They are just darned envious of us in the PL and they STILL being in the Championship.

I don't see many cars with Brighton stickers but when I do it makes my blood boil.I live on the coast and thankfully don't see too much evidence of support for that darned club.

Living where I do, behind enemy lines so to speak, I think I'm well placed to comment on Weed fans.

There are a few - but not many - ' old school ' who are actually ok. Yes they despise Palace but at least know the reasons for the rivalry. An they are reasonably balanced in their views.

Their worst " fans ' are the Plastics that have appeared since the Amex was built. They support other, usually London, clubs. But they all stand up and shout anti Palace stuff at games without even knowing why.

Then you have the deluded....they think that having a shiny new stadium and ( admittedly ) state of the art training facilities gives them a God given right to Premiership football. So you can't have a football conversation with these people, they only want to talk about their being '' Premiership Ready " off the pitch !

I honestly think that their obsession with Palace is such that if you gave them the choice of Brighton winning or us losing they would choose the latter.

My parents used to have a chip shop just outside Brighton and my dad loved nothing more than winding up deluded Brighton fans. It was one of his bigges regrets of retiring that he wasn't able to stick it to them after the play offs.

My area is largely Millwall so I feel your pain.
