Ever since 9/11 all i hear coming out of the TV and radio is pro Western Government propaganda, and their just stoking the fires even more and getting everybody over excited to meet whatever self fulfilling plans they have for us all...........all your anger and views are just a result of what your being told and how its presented and yet you've no idea if what your being told is really true. People die everyday in this country through road accidents- now if the media presented this in the same hysterical way you lot would all be out burning cars!

I find alot of the views on this topic quite disturbing but totally understandable.....the problem is you never stop to question the way in which the media presents this whole terrorist issue. Umm, I've been to the aftermath of the WTC and I think 9/11 attack really happened OH and Madrid and Bali and Lockerbee. I think there is a 100% chance these events took place too.
To piece together your statement. I've lost my sister to a car crash here in the states. Am I scared to drive my car? Not in the least. Am I uneasy about traveling abroad to see my friends and family? Your damn right I am. Not for my own safety but for my daughters. Living in fear sucks. I don't care if it's the 80's and Russia was going to start nukeing everybody or if your next flight is going to wind up in the side of a skyscaper. Or the nightclub I'm in is going to get blown up. It's B.S. that we all have to live this way. Bravo to your Police force to stop yet another atrocity from taking place!

in answer to the replies to my post- not once did i say or claim that these terrorist attrocities never happened. All i was trying to say was that the reaction to them by the politicians and media is just fueling these sad individuals hatred and surely they're are better ways in dealing with the situation. It also fuels our prejudices too eh Mezzer....."makes me wonder why we don't pack up and go and live, work and claim benefit somewhere nice instead" Doesn't take much to needle a racist, does it?

Tell us how to deal with the terrorists. You said there must be a better way. Well, what is it?

Furthermore, you have not answered the replies to your original post. If the media is as bad as you claim, where do you get your information from?

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Well for a kick off not going in and killing thousands of innocent adults and children in Afghanistan and Iraq might help.....did these actions really make the world a safer place? Having the advantage of being able to understand a language other than English, you get to see how these events are reported in other countries, and their slant is far from what we're being told and shown. So who's telling the truth?

So then Bubbs, you think the world would be a better place if the Taliban was still subjugating the people of Afghanistan and Saddam was still slaughtering the people of Iraq at will then? Hmm, appeasement is the answer then is it? Yeah, I see your point, that might have worked against Hitler, maybe if we'd just looked away when he invaded Poland! Bubbs, your politics are selfish and cowardly, now blow yer nose, stop snivelling and support the fight against terror ya big girls blouse!

How can you compare Hitler and the Nazi regime with Sadam and the Talaban? not in the same league when it comes to being a threat to the world-i think they had about 2 second hand scud missiles between em!...maybe if your leaders that your so ready to fall behind didn't support these other corrupt groups and leaders in the first place, then this so called 'liberation' wouldn't have been necessary

In other words you are saying, almost the whole world was wrong on Afghanistan? The war in Afghanistan did remove a most sadistic dictatorship that exported violent fundamentalism. That war certainly made the world a better place. Furthermore, Saddam being compared to Hitler is not too far from being the truth. He was directly responsible (according to groups like Human Rights Watch) for close to 2 million deaths. That does not include the hundreds of thousands, possibly millions more, who died of malnutrition and disease because of his abuse of the oil for food and medicine programmes. I am happy that both regimes are gone.

Most reports of the violence in Iraq state that it comes from Saddam loyalists (understandably so), and all they are doing now is what his regime did for 34 years. Use extreme violence to create fear.

So, you read foregin press reports. Or do you just say that to sound intelligent? Implying that you read a foreign language and are thus able to get an insight into how events are viewed elsewhere, seems to indicate that no one who disagrees with you can. How arrogant (again) and absurd.

Again it is our leaders fault. You are right. The world would be so much better off if the West did not give any aid, and never interfered with brutal dictatorships around the world. Just like Rwanda, that is also the West's fault if you believe the press.

How can you compare Hitler and the Nazi regime with Sadam and the Talaban?

Quite easily really; totalitarian dictatorship, killed a lot of innocent people! f***ing Hell, try to keep up, it's not rocket science mate! In never mentioned any perceived threat, it's never entered my head throughout the whole thing - I'm not Tony f***ing Blair mate. Britain can look after itself and anyone who declares war on us can expect a bloody nose, so I agree, Saddam and his pathetic bunch of pissants were certainly no direct threat to Britain, but that's not the point, and for me, it never has been! When Hitler invaded Poland there was no direct threat to us then either, we were after all in a pact with Russia and France with America on the fence but batting for us! We declared war on Nazi Germany because it was the right thing to do, just as we've declared war on terror because it's the right thing to do and if Muslims want to believe it's a war on Islam, f***ing let 'em! They want a war with us? They'll f***ing have one!

My point being that you cannot appease evil - and make no bones, these people are evil, pre-programmed unthinking machines - you can only face evil head-on and try to annihilate it! Or if you're a selfish coward you can look the other way while innocent people are being tortured and slaughtered and hope that it never affects you!

So once again; so you think the world would be a better place if the Taliban was still subjugating the people of Afghanistan and Saddam was still slaughtering the people of Iraq at will then? Or are you gonna choose to ignore the question again and bury your head in the sand you blind fool!

Bubbs, I'm quite amused at being labelled a racist by you. I am not, of course but I fear Sir, that it is you who is the racist as I made no reference to anything other than claiming benefit. I am not aware that claiming benefit is anything other than the prerogative of ALL who are entitled to it in this country, but somewhere deep in Bubba's sub conscious is a guilty little belief that naturally associates benefit drawers with people from another culture.

Tut tut Bubbs. You should get some counselling for those deep seated fears of yours.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
