Voting- leaning towards in, but will be researching a bit more before making a decision. Many of the points raised about why some people are voting out (NHS being stretched, shortage of school places etc) are down to the stupid and ideologically focused policy of 'austerity'- a word I despise, as we should just say 'massive and unprecedented cuts to public services'.

I hope this pastes well and I'm not too pasted but wtf? High immigration has been going on for over 10 years and Labour were in power from 1997 to 2010. There was a house building problem in 2005/6, I remember it. This was also when immigration was rising dramatically. You could blame the stretched NHS on the funds available. Same for the school places. Whether you think that spending Ed Balls' style in a contracting world economy is smart or not is your choice. btw, the NHS spend has increased year on year, it's in built up areas where you suddenly need a school. Near Purley Oaks Primary, Thornton Heath. I'm sure you get the drift. Outside of Kenley or Chipstead or Warlingham you have zero worries. Well I live outside of those areas but I worry for those people already here. What you either ignore or are not aware of is that the Labour party had agencies going out to Eastern Europe to encourage workers to come to Britain. They were all about figures and addressing too many issues and appeasing lots of different factions of society that they couldn't satisfy all. They turned out to be an absolute shower apart from introducing things like the minimum wage. btw, I am not a tory and am a floating voter but Churchill's, "Show me a young Tory...no heart and an old Liberal....and no brain" (approx) applies to most people. Funniest thing I heard today was from lefties upset about different areas in Caterham and around being built upon for housing. I laughed and raised their political tendencies and why do they care about a golf course.

Simply dismissing my thoughts as 'Little Englander' doesn't work Michael. It highlights that you are once again positioning yourself on policy based on what you think makes you look intellectual, rather than anything with any substance.

Yes you are of course correct - it is indeed the result of poor UK governance. After all it is the government to blame for allowing an open door immigration policy which caused all the above. Edited by Tom-the-eagle (20 Feb 2016 7.23pm) Labour Govt was especially guilty of commencing open door policy with benefit system awash with freebies. Let's also not forget Border Agency ineptitude under the management of Lin Homer...before she got the gig overseeing HMRC (See a connection, anybody? Just GOOGLE it if not)

Not sure you 'get it'. Johnny Englander perfectly describes the type of brash, arrogant native who can have a propensity themselves not to integrate with others. The fact that we have migrants taking on the jobs that too many of us would rather not be associated with, combined with their hard-working ethic - many do try to integrate as proven by employment statistics. Where would NHS be without them?

Good things In...employment protection laws, free movement of labour, better influence in the world, Can't think of any reason to leave the EU... Not that I'm a huge fan of British politicians but for me the emasculation of politicians on home soil is a reason. I feel I am a hypocrite for wanting Scotland to remain in the union yet leaning towards getting out of the EU but I did believe that the Scots should have more power to self regulate which they've got. The power to govern based on local knowledge of local problems seems so important. For those decisions to be taken by bureaucrats in Brussels far removed from the "coal face" of Britain can't be right. I hate Cameron playing up the fear factor. All this tslk about a leap into the dark and an increased risk of terrorism to scare people. Staying in the EU is surely also a leap in the dark. It seems to be an infrastructure frequently in crisis and on the brink of collapse, if we leave the EU do the rest of the EU say "screw you spiteful cnuts we're not sharing any information about terrorists because you didn't want to be in our gang?" Is that how it works?

What do you do to integrate yourself with migrants? It happens everyday as migration has occurred for decades: teach their children; as shopkeepers I buy their goods; socialise with them to learn of their culture/ background & vice versa; trust and allow them to treat my family if in need of required medical health care; watch them play at Palace and in other sports etc. I think that you'll find that you and everybody else are regularly integrating with migrants either directly or indirectly.
