I feel like Palace are just Leicester without the goals. In that we have a team of good players, very few that were considered World Class at the start of the season and we went on a big run of morale where we were in the top 5. If we had scored more goals during that period and kept the morale going, it could be us mugging everyone off at the top.

I guess this is a really obvious statement that could be applied to half the league now I read it back. However, part of me feels like in a parallel universe where only a couple of minor things went differently, we are at the top and Leicester are mid-table.

Don't take this post too literally and you might understand what I was banging on about!

But with the injuries/suspensions.

Optimistic as ever

I just don’t understand what has caused Leicester’s amazing transformation. After 29 games last season they had just 19 points, were 6 six points from safety and looked relegation certainties. All of a sudden they started winning and picked up another 22 points from the last 9 games. Did they start dabbling in the dark arts or something?

They have then carried on that form into this season. From the last 34 games, over the two seasons, they have won 22, drawn 9 and lost just 3. It’s a remarkable achievement, even a bit spooky. Anyway if they do carry on and take the title it will be a refreshing change for a team other than one of the usual candidates to do it – just a shame it has to be Leicester.

I hope they miss out by one goal of goal difference on the last day of the season. And someone posts a picture of his face on Instagram or somewhere.

It would be fantastic for football should Leicester win the PL. It's the almost-impossible achievement given the history and money behind the traditional 'top 4' and hangers on just underneath. It would give so many other clubs hope that great things can be achieved without the need for silly digit investment in the players. It's so refreshing seeing the freedom Leicester play with and it's a shame that some are shrouded in animosity against them.

I did a little predictor for the remaining matches of Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs and City. I ended up with Arsenal winning the League by 2 points from City and Spurs, with Leicester 4th.

Hope this helps. ha.

I see that Ranieri has taken after that long-term denizen of the upper echelons of the Premier League, Sir Alex Ferguson, and started whining, blaming the ref and banging on about red cards and penalties the minute he contrives to lose a match.

He dropped an absolute clanger taking Mahrez off after the sending off and bringing on the big Jedi-lookalike to defend the rest of the game. Up until then they had Arsenal on the ropes

He lost right-back Danny Simpson who was sent off so I can understand him bringing on another defender. In fact Wasilewski has played at right-back and also at centre-half.

Well we all do, of course. But AP doesn't, at least not on telly.
