In recent times I cannot remember Spurs giving more than the normal allocation to away fans for cup games but could be wrong.Remember going years ago and we took thousands there, was all crammed in pens and fans started climbing over the fences into an empty pen and the old bill did the right thing and opened the gates to let our fans into it. We must have took 6000 that day. Quite a few left at half time as we were 4-0 down. I remember that game. If I recall correctly, the first couple of lads who climbed the fence were thrown out first, THEN they opened the pen to let the rest of us through. Was quite hairy for a while, I was actually started to get a bit concerned about the level of overcrowding (and I'm fairly sure the first ones over the fence were primarily acting from self-preservation)

Naturally Palace box office have to request the full allocation though? Under FA Cup competition rules, we are obliged to provide the visiting team with 15% of the stadium capacity if requested.

1 ticket per reference seems a bit weird considering the 5000+ allocation

That's because Palace now have a few categories of m'ship and if you have bought your season ticket for 15/16 you already have the added extra points! Giving the top points category or season ticket holders more than 1 ticket would wipe out the allocation leaving none for the lowest categories who have paid a token dare I say plastic m'ship to have a sniff at!

Apparently there are over 3k fans with over 2500 so I suppose it's only fair everyone is given an opportunity to buy one.
