Hull have just signed Ryan Taylor on a free probably back up but it does look like Chester will be off Taylor is mainly a right-back whereas Chester is a central defender. Ryan Taylor played for Steve Bruce at Wigan.Speaking to Steve Bruce a few years ago, he said that Taylor's set-piece delivery was as good as Beckham's. He certainly is a superb striker of a ball and scores from distance. Taylor loves getting forward down the right side and has played wide on the right. Perhaps his purchase indicates that Elmohamady is on his way.

In terms of central defenders, apart from Chester, he also has at this present time Michael Dawson, Alex Bruce,Curtis Davies and Harry Maguire.

Slightly disappointed as I think he is a good centre back. But at £8m his price was massively inflated.

Surely this is exactly how Marriapa was talked about a cuople of seasons back. Granted even I consider him too short to become a great premiership centre back...but he did get the same rave reviews for reading, and in central defence if im not mistaken? and they went down and he was one of not their best player....this all sounds rather like Chester.... Canavaro did it whilst being a short hausen, maybe marriapa could.......even to a far lesser extent, he'd still do a good job...no?
