Miliband saying "Hell yes, I'm tough enough" is probably the most cringeworthy piece of television I've ever watched.

Has he been taking PR lessons from Nigel Pearson ???

Given that Cameron brought every topic back to the economy its a bit rich to say about UKIPs policies.

Well lets hear UKIP's policies on the economy !
Do they have any ? Let's bring them to scrutiny on a raft of polices in the full glare of an election campaign.

Again, I'm not a UKIP voter and in the past have actually voted Conseravtives in the past 2 elections- currently undecided at the moment.

We shall see come the big party debates but when Farage was on question time he dealt with the other three guests easily.

I thought Miliband shaded it but there was a definite bias by the presenters. The woman, Burley, kept interrupting Miliband and the questions were far more personal. Paxman was a total t***.

Don't be so ridiculous. He was a total embarrassment but I never expected anything else. That said, Cameron wasn't at his best during the Paxman interrogation.

Would love to continue this debate but I am off to HQ now !!!!

Willo, what I can't understand is why your leader bottled it and wouldn't go head to head with Ed.
Also, what do you think of William Haugue (with Cameron and Gove) trying to unseat the Speaker? Looked pretty underhand the way he went about it. A lot of Tories didn't like it.

No current leader wants a debate as they have everything to lose, the only time an incumbent will agree to a debate is if they are struggling in the polls

I can sort of understand that but against Ed? He lost out is a debate with the Hear Say bird and from what I hear on here (I never see it) Dave wipes the floor with him at PMQT.

Did he? I think he could have wiped the floor with her but thought if he did then he would get absolutely ripped apart for it.As it was she just continued to shout him down over and over again. To my mind that's not debating or getting your point across its just being an ignorant twot.

Had to laugh when Paxman asked Miliband if the Labour government had spent too much money and a startled "Ed" said "NO" !!!!

A Labour government that left us with the biggest deficit in our peacetime history.

And a Labour government that literally left a note saying "There's no money left".

And Miliband doesn't think they spent too much?!

It was really biased, but not a total disaster for either. Despite that, in real terms it will have benefited Miliband more than Cameron.

The thing that cracks me up is that everyone says "your brother would have been better" as if that's some sort of original comment. It's tiresome.

Pre-2010, David and Ed Miliband were pretty much nobodies to your average member of the public, so for that public to now pretend they liked David is bogus, he'd be getting slaughtered just the same now if he'd won the leadership contest.

Thought it was a pretty meek performance by both, but the obvious bias from Sky probably played into Miliband's hands a little.

I'd agree with that. It was pretty extreme bias, but that allowed Miliband to come across in a new light. Even the 'You Ok, Ed?' comment was rather knowing, but then Sky News are rather good at leaving microphones on as Gordon Brown found on, haha.

Best question came from the audience to Ed milliband

Do you think your brother David would have been a better choice of leader for Labour

I think so

when you think of the issues we face and the question, it was a pretty dumb question. Probably says more about you.
