Every result has gone as expected so far. Scotland were harshly done by with the last play, or lack of it rather, but it has happened before in the 6 nations. I think there needs to be a definitive rule on the clock near the end of each half.

So Week 2 out of the way and all pretty much went as expected. England certainly down a gear mentally from Cardiff and despite the score stuttered for me and weren't convincing. JJ showed again why he is s starter and Johnny May why he is not. Italy showed lots of promise early doors and lots of huff and puff but ultimately they really aren't good enough to compete at this level and their scores were more to England switching off as much as anything Ireland v France was pretty turgid stuff. I cant believe France have gone all Southern Hemisphere in the positions that actually make French rugby what it is. Ireland looked decent enough without really going balls out. Wales v Scotland was probably the most enjoyable game of the weekend for me. Scotland are better than the 2 defeats suggest but still are wooden spoon contenders - they will beat Italy though. Wales played better than last weekend and did control the game very well - played a lot of rugby in Scotland's half and will run Ireland and France close. Ireland v England up next - should be a good un Edited by The Sash (16 Feb 2015 9.17am) I think you're being very kind about Wales. We were pedestrian and lacked quality. The game was certainly exciting but both teams made way too many errors. My concern is that Wales look like a team that have just met and not the supposed most settled and experienced.
The one thing that was apparent from all the games this weekend if none of the NH sides kick on is that the World Cup is going South of the Equator again

I bet Jim Hamilton wishes he hadn't started a handbags punch up after he touched down now - that wasted a good 30 - 40 seconds

They should've got on with the conversion also. Either way there was still time on the clock, after the conversion was made.

I also didn't like their crowd booing/whistling for Welsh free kicks and conversions either.

I also didn't like their crowd booing/whistling for Welsh free kicks and conversions either. I think they only did it for one penalty, as they didn't agree with the awarding of it. Might be wrong though, but I only noticed it once.

I wanted a draw, as that would have ended Welsh hopes for the championship completely.

Yep Russell took an absolute age to get the kick over when he should have simply hit a quick drop. Scotlands downfall yet again was a failure to get the ball over when its easier to score than not, once in the first half and again in the second they essentially camped on Wales try line for phase after phase - again its poor decision making and forwards who seemingly think that running directly at Alan Wyn Davies, Richard Hibbard and Gethin Jenkins means that they will politely step aside instead of shunting you back 10 feet

Scotland really should stick to Friday and Saturday fixtures to enable them to use Euan Murray more.

At one point Johnny Gray took the ball, literally feet from the line before Laidlaw could pick it up and simply charged at 5 Welshman who proceeded to rape him and drive him backwards at a rate of knots. Its the 'give it to big kid school of Rugby' that normally ends when you are about 14. Cotters a good coach and has made strides with Scotland - he must have been tearing his hair out
