FFS just signed a new contract or extension. He's also a better fit at Paace than Adebayor. In fact, he reminds me of Akinbeye. No way, Jose.

Completely on the fence myself for all the reasons (good and bad) that others have articulated. But I will say this: there are not an enormous number of players capable of scoring 20+ Premiership goals in a season and Adebayor (when motivated) is one of them.

Wishing our fans would stop f. Ing about and start hoping we can hold on to our best players for a change and keep our squad for more than one season then we might be the PRemiership club we want to be |

According to the Daily Mail CPFC are going all-out (as they did in January) to sign him. They predict leaving the club will be Murray, Jedinak and Gayle. If these four transfers occur I'm not watching Palace next season. I cannot believe we are one of 'those' clubs.

Don't be daft, Murray won't be leaving us. Pardew has his head screwed on and knows that we wouldn't be gaining anything by selling him, certainly not as much money as we could get for Gayle. Plus, now Murray knows he is of Premiership quality I think he'll want to stick at it for as long as possible as it certainly isn't going to last forever. He knows he's a fans favourite and the manager likes him so won't have much desire to move on. I can really see us selling Gayle and Campbell, bringing in a quality striker with the money raised and blooding a youth striker next season. If we stay up next year and dependant on how things pan out, then I reckon Glen will go and we'll sign another quality striker with the TV money.

Who is this Adebayor many of you talk about and say is rubbish. It is surely not the one who has played for Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City and Spurs in the last 10 years scoring a goal every 2.5 games in that time. For goodness sake who is good enough for some of you? Adebayor is a WORLD class striker who has a couple of years left in him at the highest level - he has not exactly been over played in the last six years averaging just 27 games per season in all competitions. Yes he does have issues surrounding him and some managers do not like him whilst others do. If Pardew believes that he can be an asset to us then I will go with that. Also, irregardless of how he is rated by certain managers he has never been considered anything but a top guy by his fellow professionals and a model professional. Whilst this is all just paper talk were it to become a reality I would be thrilled to see such a player at Palace.

I really don't care who is bought and sold this transfer window. Pardew has more riding on the next season's team than any of us, and to be quite frank, I trust him. AP is no fool, and I say, let him buy HIS squad. COYP! Goodness, when I think of our tenth place and how we fared under AP and then NW (TY NW BTW), I say, shut up and get with the program! TY Palace on a great season!

Will never happen.
It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. - John Bostock (Nov 2007) |
