I've never had a problem at Dartford tbh but last year I received a letter (inc a pic) of me 'parked(?)' the wrong side of a red light at around 6am in London (who does that!).
The fact that I'd moved forward to let an ambulance go by was irrelevant because as they say, the camera never lies cough cough. I asked for the CCTV footage and was told that they couldn't send it to me (how strange in a world of tech?) but I'm more than welcome to view it if I went along to their offices. Being self-employed it was pointless fighting it as it would have cost me more money so I paid the 60quid.
The moral of the story is they are cunds and will get away with anything if they can. You have proof on your side and will be fine. But that doesn't take into account the inconvenience.

Was this from TfL?

As for the footage if they said they cant send you the footage, although a fee would be included, they were wrong. If you took this further they would need the CCTV to prove it to the adjudicator.

Did you pay and how long ago was it?

It was round about the Christmas before last.
I've binned the letter but it clearly stated that I could only view any CCTV footage if I went to them.
It's done now but i've learnt since is that
there is no law stating (apparently!) that you have to move for ANY emergency vehicle.
I'd do the same again tbh but what really f-cked me off was the fact that someone has seen the footage, has a complete understanding of the situation yet still nailed me because they had a 'still'.

But that's the times we live in I guess.

Edit. Sorry yeah, I think it was TFL. It may well have been KFC for the amount of intelligence shown though! (No offence to anyone who may happen to work at that fine chicken establishment).

I still remember 20:06 one Friday when Croydon Council did me for being at the far end of a bus stop - while collecting fish & chips & contributing to the local economy. from time to time I think about an 007 model car - with changing number plates - an arabic option could be useful.

Good luck to my fellow sufferers.

Say that this has caused you massive worry and stress and that you want compensation. Bast@rds

What a massive over-reaction! No electronic system is perfect (although my family and myself use the crossing frequently, without problems) and, as there is evidence of payment, the fine will be cancelled on appeal. You'd be living a charmed life if this was the worst thing that ever happened to you.

I thought trolls lived under a bridge rather than commuting across one?

Maybe it was more down to your reasons for the appeal.

On the way back I looked out for the signs. There were a couple but they weren't exactly obvious in their meaning. Any genuine warning to drivers would make it obvious. I think they deliberately want to make it vague so they can hit people with fines.

Same reasons both times. 1st time, standard reply. 2nd time "on this occasion..."

Might not have happened where you worked but seems to be how most London boroughs operate.
