Obviously we have become so used to moaning and cursing our luck we can't stop. As I recall we sang: The Boys from SE25 and a few more OK, so Can You Hear the City Sing was sung tongue in cheek on this occasion, but as a song it works well. I really liked the irony of it on Sunday. And the afters when we sang You Only Sing When We Tell You, that was humour that was. And Stand in the Sun and Stand in the Rain does have a dig at Scumwall and the Seaweeds But the rest are just positive. Can't see the problem. But moan away if you really must, I guess you have to get it off your chest for some reason. Probably related to relationships at home and lack of a proper man-shed. I'll be honest, I've sang pretty much all game every game when it meant something. Yesterday I wasn't as arsed. I know it's not great but you can't beat a performance that really really means something. Liverpool will hopefully be different under the lights.

People may feel that the atmosphere on Saturday was bad but this is only compared to some of the recent matches where we had everything to play for. The atmosphere on Saturday was probably way better than most Premiership clubs get at home even when they win.
I did actually see someone wearing a Palace shirt on Saturday and had a mini panic thinking I had got the wrong day for the match. Was you at the game Yesterday? Me thinks you are blagging as you would have said Yesterday rather than Sunday or Saturday.Bit cheeky moaning at people leaving early when you probably weren't even at the game. A rather odd assumption on your part there. I'm pretty sure I did go but perhaps it was just in my imagination. There would be no point in having a season ticket and staying at home, in particular as I don't have Sky. I would ask if you was (sic) at the game but I really don't care either way.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I hear some people say they go to the games to watch the football. That is fine by me. It's their money they are spending. I personally feel the players perform and gain strength from us when we are loud so although I watch the game I also sing and chant and I try to get the people around me to get involved. Unfortunately some people just aren't interested and that is a shame. The HF and parts of AW are loud but could you imagine getting the whole crowd involved in singing. That would be immense and the players would definitely feel it more imo. I just hope everyone gives the lads all they have on monday to celebrate the season we have had and the season to come.

At the same time you get people on the other end of the spectrum who spend the game dancing around with their back to the football trying to lead a chant. Makes me think what's the point of watching the match! It's not one separate to the other. As much as we are needed to spur the players on they are needed to spur us on! Before you guys read too much in to that, I'm all for supporting and singing my lungs out when the chips are down and we are getting thumped by a big Whig but also the atmospher mainly is dictated by the football in front of us.

Couldn't make this match. I had to watch it in a pub. The noise picked up by the tv mics from both sets of supporters was intense and continuous. At one point, the Famous Palace Boyz was so loud they had to adjust the sound. The pundits were gushing about our support. I accept that what comes out the tv does not necessarily reflect what you hear in the ground. However, I have been to games in the not too distant past, sat at the back of Block B, where the atmosphere was like a funeral. Could it be that we now set our standards so high that mere excellent feels like deflation?
