surprised no one has leaked the outcome of the Cardiff meeting with the PL yet

I expect the BBC's David "Basildon" Bond is busy writing his 3000 words of hysteria and Tan-fuelled hyperbole as we speak.

I thought that OGS decided against changing the starting line up and went with his original plan to be s**t in every area?

I can't see that the result would have been any different if we had given them our starting 11 weeks in advance. The fact is we were better than them on the day, regardless of any information we may or may not have had before kick off, they just didn't turn up and no amount of p**sing and moaning by that mental Malaysian fellow is going to change that.

We effectively did as we fielded an unchanged side if I remember correctly.

Very true! See, knowing your opponents tactics in advance don't help, ask Villa, Everton and West Ham

And Chelski.

And West Spam. Have we heard from Big Sam yet?

The problem with living on this side of the pond, even it is NYC, is that it takes us longer to hear anything. TP said he was going to the league today (Wednesday) and since it is approaching 17:00 in Merrie Olde but only noon here, I'll just have to "hold my water." However, being the cockeyed optimist that I am, and also knowing that our people have a far better grip on reality than the Malay Bookie, the league will see this for what it is, a crass and panicked attempt to guarantee his survival as well as trashing a former employee who has sued him for constructive dismissal. The appropriate punishment here would be for Tan and his cronies to be ruled unfit owners and to have brought the name of football into disrepute and toss him out with CCFC put up for sale to the highest bidder within 30 days. Then everyone can get back to football.

Even if the claim has some merit, which I doubt, I think it's unlikely there will be any kind of points deduction. If there were, it would open up a huge can of worms.

Imagine if Cardiff were successful, and awarded three points for a "forfeit." That would put them out of the relegation zone, and the lawsuits from other teams would fly. Every single team not yet mathematically safe would then go on the warpath looking for ways to sue other teams close to them in the table. Claims of inappropriate behaviour would become the norm, and this would go on year after year.

I can't see the league allowing this to happen.

I would have thought that Cardiff would give their side first.
Hopefully the EPL will laugh them out of the room!

I think there's every chance of that, especially when the part that only 9 of the players on the list Moody obtained actually played, shows their claim does not stand up.

I had Cardiff's lineup Saturday morning, it was not the lineup they fielded as Jones and Daehli, were not on it, but Bellamy and Gunnarsson were, and all assumed teams are listed on most live score APPS, even Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are on those live score APPS, even though the teams are not announced yet.

Isn't that the point. OGS claims to have had to alter the team when he heard that we had seen the list in advance.

Well that's bull squirt to start, because he(OGS) openly said Zaha would play in place of Gunnarsson who was injured so not available for selection, and Jones was played in place of Bellamy, he was put in there for his aerial strength.

I agree. There's no precedent for deducting points and I can't see the PL wanting to open that particular can of worms. Even with serious breaches of the rules, such as the Tevez affair and Sunderland fielding an ineligible player, no points were docked. The only time they do it is when a club goes into admin, never for anything else.

The most they'll do is give both clubs a slap on the wrist for being silly billys and send them on their way. Seriously can't see anything else happening.

What are you saying Podders, Any wrongful behaviour in the future will go unpunished by the league as a disincentive to clubs reporting other clubs for wrongful behaviour? Surely that can't happen....

I think "Podyonkers" is correct the FL know this has gone at all levels of the game, and has done for years.

Who reads The Sun and The Mirror any more?

I read the Sun. I'm not a snob you see. Many of the broad sheets print as much rubbish as the tabloids plus they are far more influenced by their political leanings and often try to sway the reader to their way of thinking.
The Sun has its faults but show me a newspaper that doesn't

"It's the Sun wot won it!" Cough, cough.

Even if the FA or the PL wanted to do something about this type of thing it would be impossible to police. As someone said newspapers state starting squads, would people suggest that the make up their back pages? Then again....
