Speroni or Ward, both deserve the prize. Jedinak a beast in defending, but half of the game is to pass the ball to a teammate. In this section MJ is nothing but awful.

Ward, Speroni and Jedinak. Don't know who though. Jedinak is so instrumental in our game; he had the week or the week before, and may still do now, the most interceptions in EUROPE. Speroni has saved us so many times, and Ward' step up to this level has been brilliant. Don't think I'd grumble if it was any of them. Ive been very underwhelmed by Jedi this year.
That's apparent just by reading any of his posts.

Joel Ward has been consistently great throughout the whole season. The only game where he's been slightly weaker was at the Emirates, but he's allowed one off day and he should get Player of the Year and be on the plane to Brazil. Speroni struggled slightly in the early part of the season (under Holloway I know, but still), although his form since Holloway left has been superb, and he seems to dominate his box a lot more. I thought he'd be exposed on that front, but he hasn't at all. 2nd But, as people have mentioned, it truly has been a team effort. Delaney, Chamakh, Jedinak, Puncheon and Dann have all been great too.

I don't think you can say he struggled... the goals we conceded were no reflection on him, he still was playing well, not making mistakes and making good saves - he couldn't make up for our lack of defence true, but no keeper in the world would have made a difference to the outcome of our games under IH this season.

I agree with those who've said it has to be a defender this year. I think the candidates are: Jules; Delaney; Ward; and Jedinak. Ward has played in three different positions and been outstanding in all three (well, maybe not quite 'outstanding' as a defensive midfielder but still very good). He oozes class even when playing on his 'wrong' side. Jedinak has been a real leader and his stats on interceptions and headers speak for themselves. I agree his passing is not great but the man is an absolute beast and I'm convinced we would have lost many more games without him protecting the back four. Jules has had a fantastic season. It isn't often a keeper gets a standing ovation for a single save but I can remember at least three times this season when the ground has risen to applaud an outstanding save, most recently in the dying minutes last Saturday. Absolute legend but runner up for me this year. My vote goes to Delaney. Like quite a few on here I didn't think he'd be up to it in the Prem but he's proved the doubters wrong. How many times has he put his body on the line this season to make crucial blocks? The consumate professional. Not the most talented footballer but someone who squeezes every last drop out the ability he has got. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how he does against Suarez and Co in a few weeks time. But, as others have said, it's been a team effort and just about everyone who has pulled on the shirt this season has been a hero.

John Terry! :-D Those unexpected 3 points from his well taken goal have made our battle for survival a whole lot less stressful.

It Really is Hard to nominate somebody for the Player of the Season and I think just for once as this has been an outstanding Season back in the Premier League for Palace, I would like the whole Team Squad to be recognised for their tremendous efforts on and off the field. This would be a Presentation to the TEAM of The Season - CRYSTAL PALACE F.C for their historical achievement of being the FIRST CRYSTAL PALACE TEAM to stay up in the PREMIER LEAGUE.

Who started this complete myth about Jedi's awful passing? I have seen stats that say his pass accuracy is 71% - which I suggest is pretty damn good. We expect everything from him because he offers and delivers and adds so much to the team. He was superb in early season performance (Spurs, Stoke & Sunderland) and was our only stand out player in those days under IH along with Ward. Yes I know he has made a few poor passes but who the hell has not done that in this league if they have managed to play every single game? I actually think SPERONI deserves the award this year if it has to be given to just one man but to constantly keep on about Jedi's passing is now becoming boring.
