Thirty eight points ...a point a game has always been the target. We are currently just off track with twenty eight points from thirty but that situation will will worsen after the weekend. I am not at all optimistic unless we get something from one of the "impossible" games but given that Chelski, Man City and Liverpool are all after the Championship title it ain't gonna be easy!!!! They might even have a go at the Premiership title too!!!!

It is so tight that I think 38 points will be mid table finish. My fear is that 2-3 teams finish on 35 including us. Our GD could finish us. We need to close the gates against City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

The more I watch the teams around us the more I think we are not good enough to stay up. They all look like they have something to offer in terms of scoring goals and winning matches. We look miles from winning a match, now starting to believe we will go down
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

And what difference does it make how many goals you score if you don't get any points ? Ask any Cardiff fan if they would now swap the 9 goaler against Liverpool for a 0-0 and see what they say ! i'm really having trouble with football as an entity and especially this season. I pay my money to be entertained each weekend, thats why we watch football, an escape, a day out and to be entertained. In some ways, watching a 9 goal bounce around would be preferable to a dour 0:0 and yet in others (relegation) it isnt and the points and safety are the no 1 issue. I've not enjoyed much of watching Palace this season , either live or results-wise as its been so flat, I only hope we somehow manage to survive the next 8 games and next year stiffen up a bit and make more of a go of it.

With you Paper, Maybe its my age and a more rounded perspective look on things but it does boil down to what your getting back from it. Imagine for a moment no one you knew whether you liked them or not had any interest in football whatsoever and you just watched it for entertainment I am sure then you would just want a exciting contest where attacking skills and goals were commonplace. Is it just bragging rights we want... I just dunno, but my gut feeling is the same as yours, I think watching good football tips it for me and I wont be renewing my season ticket next season I think i will just try to grab selected tickets as and when. Look what happened last night at Upton Park, they won 1-0 and booed the team and Sam off due to the style of Football being played there, would break my heart to see that at Palace. I know loads of you are going to jump on me now with the old support your club whatever etc etc and I understand that but please be true to your real feelings. I pay £840 odd for my Son and I and just don't think that's worth what I see, I dont want to harp on about the Team and what Tony has been briefed to do ie keep us up at any cost, I get that, I would just like to see young technically gifted players like Williams, Bannon, Bolasie playing the beautiful game thats what would get my hand back in my pocket. Rant over... feel better now.. right where's me golf clubs..

I would love us to stay up but can't see where the goals are going to come from. Unfortunately I think we are going down with only 29 or 30 points.
Let's keep the ball this season! |

Granted the football hasn't been great this season but i don't think you can put that down to Pulis. He inherited a team who were getting destroyed, i honestly thought we'd have the lowest points total in the history of the BPL. He's made us 'hard to beat'(frequently used), he's done the best with the players available and i think if we stay up we will have more chance of attracting better, more creative players ala Moses etc. I think Pulis is thinking stay up by any means and then look at rebuilding over the summer. I'm renewing regardless, I know i'd regret it if i didn't.
