Where would you play JW in this side Maxi? I don't disagree that it's a shame to see him loaned out, just not sure where you see him in this current side increasing our chances of goals.

At attacking mid/behind the striker, he isn't going to be tenacious enough for this side. There's too much of a gap between Jedinak and KG/Ledley. I could see Jonny getting isolated too much and not providing for the striker. For me, the best player we have for that position is Chamakh. Not his 'natural' position maybe, but he impresses me regularly with hold up play and ability to find a decent pass in a very pressurised part of the field.

Problem was, Johnny Williams wasn't making a huge difference back when he was playing for us, and he'd taken a few knocks. Better he gets first team action and confidence, than 20 mins a week if were losing.

He is making a huge difference at ipswich because he is starting and a manager has faith in him. Pulis did neither

And because he is in the league below playing in a play-off chasing side.

Wtf? Check out the player ratings. [Link]

Because your judging a player who hasnt been given a chance by pulis! Your letting the premier league cloud your judgement. Three MOTM's in a row. Derby trying to catch the top two and he gets 9.5 rating. Thats pretty conclusive form. Why are you so cynical?

As someone once said 'players who haven't been playing when you are losing suddenly look much better'

Starting every Ipswich game until the end if the season will be a great way to prepare him for a go in the prem next year

But it wont be with us

Because when he has played this season, he's been thoroughly ineffective, as he has been numerous times in the Championship over the last few years.

Let him flourish in the Championship for the rest of the year, and we can reap the rewards in the future. I think it would be genuinely harmful to his progression as a player to recall him now.

Your not interested in his progression because he has always been the real deal. You just cant accept that Pulis has misjudged his ability

But he hasn't. He's always had a hell of a lot of potential, and played excellently in patches, but never particularly consistently.

Rubbish. He has NOT been giving a consistent run under Pulis. In fact he probably hasnt started under him.

Ok, but try this, if you can, think back to the 50+ other times that Williams HAS played for us, and judge him based on that. Not just the fact that he isn't in the team at the moment.

It's pointless debating with you, you just repeat the same thing over and over again, irrespective of what's said.

I have always said JW is a gem of a player and will prove to be the best player we have ever produced - my all time favourite, Kenny Sansom, included.

He is still a young man, learning his craft and trying to put together a string of games. Ipswich have given him the chance to do that and JW has gone there and is proving himself.

To say TP does not rate him is just plain wrong. The lad has just signed a new five year deal and TP has made it clear he will be a big part of his future plans.

Sometime next season we will start to see what JW is really all about. Those who do not believe this lad is one heck of a talent will be eating their words.
