What do you think? can we do it? can we stay in the premier league? My opinion is that we are capable of stay up, We just need to start finding goals. How I see our last 8 games are.. Chelsea (H) 1 point I know we can do it. What's your thoughts? Edited by HornchurchEagle (22 Mar 2014 7.29pm)

I can see us staying, but it does depend on how Sunderland get on with their games in hand and fingers cross the amount of games they'll have to play will take it's toll on them.

Yes there is a big difference in a win amongst every couple of games lost. During our good run we were winning games where as now we'll lose 2 or 3 and then only draw the other game. West Brom were doing this early on, not losing that many but only drawing games which kept them down at the bottom so it's crucial we get wins rathere than draws to stay up.
Rachid Harkouks passport was lost in the post ......Honest. Team of the 80's, well we were for a few months in the autumn of 1979... |

When is Cham due back? With him in the side we nick the occasional goal. That might be all we need if the defence carries on its good work. Start of the season I was sure we would go down so not nervous about our season. Now we have a chance, albeit a slim one and I am totally bricking it. We need a lucky break or two. Think we are due as we haven't had the rub of the green in recent weeks.

If we can nick a point against Chelski then wins against Villa and Cardiff may just about see us safe.

I have been sayng for some time that I think we will finish on 35 points and that it will come down to goal difference. If we, Sunderland and West Brom all finish on 35 then we could lose out. Although Sunderland's goal difference is 2 better than us their 2 games in hand are away at Liverpool on Weds and then Man C, so would expect some kind of swing, possibly dramatic. I think that if it did go to goal difference we would be safe as our defence is actually pretty good, it is the problems in front of goal which is more likely to sink us. Hope Chamakh and/or Gayle can make it back by Cardiff.
[T]here are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things that, we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns there are things we do not know we don't know. |

Beat Villa, Cardiff and Fulham, and I think we will be safe. It's imperative we beat Cardiff and Fulham to have any hope of staying up. It would be lovely it everything was on song when we are playing, but alas it's not. All we can hope for is the team and Pulis have bigger balls than those around us.
