You clang ignore Norwich's final run in. They simply don't have a chance, and for me will fill the third relegation spot. I think Pulis will be the edge over survival, luckily for us.
As others have recently posted, we need one or two of these "shouldn't win" games to fall our way. You know as well as anone that we'll lose another of the so called 6 pointers when we should win it, it's the Palace way. And don't think you wont be chewing your nails vs Fulham at the end, that one will be 90 minutes of hell. Edited by paperhat (04 Mar 2014 9.10am)

Cardiff Then one from Palace, WBA, Norwich, Sunderland. For me the rest have enough quality to get clear. I fear our next 4 games could put us back in the bottom 3 and then it will be how we react aganist Cardiff. I said at the start of the season if we go into the last game needing a win to survive I'd grab it, still would.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

I've gotta stick with what I've said all season, we absolutely MUST win a match we're 'not supposed too.' Until we do, we're as likely to go down as anyone else. There's very little separation and the table drastically changes each week. Watching the live table on a Saturday arvo is often humourous as you can jet up about 5 places by scoring a goal then topple back down when another teams scores elsewhere. It's just pure madness!! PS: Cardiff, WBA, Norwich.
By the way have a crack at this: I did.....sadly had us going down 3rd from bottom on goal difference! God I hope not! Just tried this myself and it sends Cardiff, Swansea and Sunderland down with West Brom surviving on goal difference. Let's hope.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Norwich final four matches look likely to get them no points however they could easily have enough points from their next six matches to make it unlikely they will need anything from these last four. Sunderland likewise have five games that they would expect to get something from, four of them at home. If we assume that Cardiff and Fulham are as good as down, because we need them to be, West Brom have to be the team to look out for. Although they drew with Chelsea, they could only manager a draw against Fulham and obviously lost to us. I'd prefer to be in our position rather than theirs, although only just!
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Still West Brom for me to fill the 3rd spot.... Teams that don't win games go down, their manager has not got a clue....

Norwich and sunderland will drag themselves out of this, as we've seen, they have got the results against some big teams that they weren't meant to get. West Brom are dodgy as they get spanked one minute and then pick up random points where they shouldnt. My big big fear is that we, we will 'do a palace' and collapse like a house of cards as we always do, just when we need to be strong. As yet, we havent picke dup any of these 'bonus' points and I cant see where we will either. Saturday against Southampton is a must for 3 points, nothing else should be accepted.

I would love just a point against a very good team. The big one - the must - is not losing to Sunderland the week after. That is huge.

I'd have far more respect for the 'we will stay up' brigade if they actually went down to the bookies and put their money where their mouth was. We could stay up, we could go down...We have the hardest run in...We will have to start picking up away points to do it.....And so far we have only scored five goals away all season. Start of the season I'd have put us in the bottom three, before Pulis came in, bottom, but with Pulis turn around in form, I think we've got a decent chance than most of the others of staying up.
If you think we are staying up then the bookies might be offering some good odds there Jamie. Everyone is odds on to stay up apary from cardiff and fulham ee are 1/5 so there is obviously no point in the bet unless you are putting your house on it

Two points worth bearing in mind. The fixture computer might play a hand as due to the FA Cup there are quite a few rearranged games to sort out. Also although the top of the table is tight at the moment if one of the teams puts a good run of wins together the latter games against the top teams might not be as difficult. WBA drew 5-5 with Man U and Norwich won 3-2 against Man C last season. Only time will tell but we have a great chance of avoiding the drop looking at the teams currently around us, not just in relation to events on the pitch but off it too within these clubs.
