If we're offered a draw, I would rip their hand off. We should 'expect' to get beaten - anything else is a massive result. They are much better than we are.

NOT there Football Team at this moment in Time.
Several Clubs have beaten them who have never in the past.
WE have held our own this Season.
WE are quite a good TEAM.
Saturday will be our Day.

Of course, I hope you're right And if we manage a point I will be chuffed - but not shocked. If we manage 3 I'll be edging towards shocked though.

I see it that we are (slightly) overachieving and they are (significantly) underachieving - and they're still 16 points better off then we are.

We can all keep our fingers x'ed but it will take something special (a flash of palace class / defense & Jules playing a blinder / Manc strikers having an off day) for us to get something out of this.

Isn't it strange how insecure these glory chasing fans are. Player for player Palace shouldn't have a chance, but this lack of assuredness must be played on. Many years ago I stood in the Holmesdale against Liverpool, among the scousers. They were forever winning things and Palace were the team of the moment, but still, nothing like 'Pool. The scousers were constantly saying things like 'oh no, Palace will surely score now' or we've 'ad it now', even when they were in the lead. And when Palace bought the quickly fading Ian Walsh on, they almost fainted in anticipation of the imminent onslaught. Funny thing confidence.

Excellent point Adrian, and as Nick Hornby once said - the natural state of a football fan is pessimism, no matter what the score !

The early exchanges will be key I think - whatever confidence they have will be fragile and if we can frustrate them then get after them that means we could get something from it. But if they score early and get the belief going they have players that can quickly take the game away from us - Mata is the best player in the PL for me and VP is one of the best strikers.

I'll be happy if we give them a good game and think we could even sneak a win but right now I'd bite your hand off for a point.

looks like this isn't going to be a proper sell out , tickets on general sale , perhaps should have made it a category B game , ha.

interviewer " iggy , do you think you influenced anybody?"
iggy pop " I think I wiped out the 60`S "

A bit too close to Xmas for a sell-out! Seriously tho', there was a time when Selhurst would be 45,000 packed. But with pre-sold tickets and no last minute 'dash', not even certain of 25,000. Last minute fans cannot be sure of entry and only a new, bigger stadium will rectify this. Such an expensive answer.
