They could always get Lionel Blair to arrange the choreography. Lionel Blair isn't gay.
..But his boyfriend was.

This is a crazy thread my friend. I agree with a few posters that there is an overemphasis on proportional representation in all aspects of life at the expense of who is best suited to the job. I am not going to start a campaign because there seems to be an over representation of gay chat show hosts beyond the 1.5-5% quota. I don't think it's appropriate to sandwich a couple of gay men in pom poms in the middle of a bunch of cheerleaders as I don't think they're suited to the job. While cheerleaders seem to get a few people up on their high horse is it really socially irresponsible to discard them as harmless fun?

You are coming here complaining about prejudice within the Crystals because their are no gay men involved but yet you are being very prejudice yourself because you are only suggesting gays/lesbians should be involved and not everyone who is "different" like a disabled cheerleader a black one, oriental one, a straight man, a Buddha, Muslim, Christian, atheist etc if one type was to be involved then every type of difference needs to be involved otherwise it would still be prejudice towards other things. IMO it should be up to the Crystals who they decide to have dancing.

Oh look. It's another 'I'm a bender, look at me' statement. Why do the likes of you, Julian Clarey, Graham Norton, Gok Wan, Louis Spence et al feel the need to let everyone know what you are ? By the way, have I let everyone here know that I'm straight.

Hello, as a Gay man, I would like to see proportionate gay/lesbian representation in the Palace Crystals. So, if, for argument's sake, we can agree that 5% of the population, is Lesbian or Gay then I would like to see that reflected in the make up of the Palace Crystals. Today, there were, I think, 12 members dancing on the pitch. Of course, I have no idea if any of the girls are lesbian but nevertheless there still should still be room statistically for one or two gay men to be part of the troupe. What does the liberal, free thinking membership of HOL think of my suggestion? So rather than suggest that some male dancers, regardless of sexuality, should train to the level of the crystals apply to audition and prove that they can enhance the performance of the dance troop and get accepted on ability, you think some gays should be appointed just to meet a non existent statistical quota. Whatever next quotas of gay men to be given family allowance to bring the amount paid to parity with heterosexuals?

I hate Lycra, any male dancers with ripped bodies should be naked. Or covered in honey and baby oil. Edited by c_block_shedevil (09 Feb 2014 3.09pm)
I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that. |
