The difference between UK and US athletes is in the US there is a larger portion of them that will get very sanctimonious about religion and "traditional values," especially in college & pro (American) football. That makes the tone of the conversation quite different.

Why should I have these equality rules pushed on me that's not fair is it. I disagree with Gays and Lesbians (Unless there sexy) If everyone promotes these political correct bollocks surely it should work both ways. If people feel the need to force a good impression on them surely im entitled to call them woofters and bum bandits and refer to them as my favourite insulting term. POOF!!!!

Who would you consider sexy? Are you a Tom Daley kinda guy? Or do you prefer a more masculine look?

I like the fact that people seem to dismiss civil rights as "liberal bedwetters." The majority of people that use this term are white, straight, males who are scared of losing their freedom to abuse minorities.

I'm not a liberal, I'd take all these idiots and send them to somewhere where their views would be appreciated. Iran maybe?

Sadly, all these inbreds are protected by law so we can't do this.

Well, I guess they are all wonderfully tough people who never need any help from the rest of society and never will.

Why not? I always assume going to Palace is like going on a gay march with tough guys prentending they're not

I find some of the replies on this thread very disappointing.

I think the campaign is a good idea and credit to Palace and the other clubs who have signed up to it. Hopefully more clubs will sign up to it soon!

I don't agree with Homophobia, but I also don't agree with a Campaign. There are FAR more important issues than sexual equality.

Are people dying in their masses because of starvation because of homophobia? Or made homeless? [Or denied access to Bed & Breakfast lodging?]

I know that certain countries and cultures persecute Gays and Christians and religious factions and blacks and other tribes within their community and I don't agree with that. I just don't think Homophobia is first on the list!

Having an opinion on this thread is fine, but when was the last time you took someone in to your home and gave them food or a bed?

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

I can't believe some of the reactions considering it's something that will make no difference to their life. If it does make a difference to their life, then they need to take a long hard look in the mirror. I think it's a good champaign and I'm glad that Palace have signed up for it, it's better than doing nothing.

The campaign is to tackle Homophobia in football which directly effect gay footballers and suppporters so the campaign is relevant. When black players faced racism in the past the FA responded with Kick it out. If a player was to get abuse along religious grounds I would want to see action taken to stop the abuse.

Would love to see a footballer against starvation or football against undemocratic tyrants campaign though.
