1963 cannot remember the game, think we were in the old 3rd division at the time.Anyway,it was a long time ago and it`s been a long ride on this roller coaster. But I have managed to hang on,white knuckle job.

Palace vs Man City sept 1983,stood on the Holmesdale with my Grandad,we lost 2-0.As we walked back to the car my Grandad said to me,"Trust me,things will get a helluva lot better once Mullery's gone!"

A very cold and boring nil-nil draw with Southampton a few years back when I was sick as a dog. Still didn't stop my love for the Palace.

You may well be right Palace certainly took the lead. I will have to dig out the programme.

luton first game of the 05/06 season crystal palace 1 luton 2 Edited by irisheagle92 (11 Jun 2012 11.49pm) For some reason I remember that game: it was an awful performance! AJ's goal being the only highlight. What a rubbish first game. Set the tone nicely, I suppose... Mine was a 1-0 home win against Southend, circa 1994, Simon Rodger scoring in the final minutes. Aha yeah not the best first game to watch , but I fell in love with the club and never looked back , to be honest if my dad didn't take me to that game I would have been a Millwall fan as the rest of my family are , and use to take me there and I couldn't get in to football use to say I supported Celtic lol then I saw there mighty palace ! Anyways the next games I saw we won

against Blackburn November 1978, Burridge/Sansom/Cannon/Gilbert/Doris like FH, my first ever live game was at SB to watch the Racists play Liverpool, they lost 0-3 Keegan and Toshack scored, they had Bonetti/Hollins/Harris/Cook/Houseman/Hutchinson/Osgood in their team, I was 6, stood in The Shed, it was the beginning of the season, still remember it. Xmas Day 1953. Sunny and bright, if a bit chilly. Palace 1 Norwich 0. Randall broke his leg midway through the second half. Hooked for life. 58 and a half years so far (more than half the club's history.

27th of May, 1996, Leicester Vs Palace. I have hated Steve Claridge ever since. I was 8, face painted in red and blue, on my birthday, and spent the return journey back to Leicester with my head under a towel. My uncle who took me still maintains that if we would have won, my head would have been out of the windscreen and/or sunroof all the way up the M1. I remember the sheer joy at seeing Palace, and then the heartbreak, so it was quite an appropriate introduction to following Palace!
