I went to a lot of games with my dad in the late 70's but I was just a toddler colouring in books with crayons and I have no real memory of them. My first "proper" game i went to see was a strange one, back in the 80's, i think it might have been 86. It was Palace vs Japan under 21's. I used to stand at the holmesdale end behind a little concrete wall just behind the pitch. I think we lost 1-2 if memory serves correctly. did we play them then? I went to most games then and cant recall that one, mind you it ws a quarter of a century ago.

76/77 Season Palace v Liverpool 3rd round of the FA cup I was 10, went with my Dad and his mate in his mates Silver MK3 2.8 Capri. Went as a Liverpool fan (I did not know better)came back a Palace fan Was it the right choice a 4-3 FA semi final win a few years latter says yes. Palace lost 3-2 but we scored first the place went mad. We were in the 3rd Division they were top in the first. Touched Kevin Keegans shirt as he got the ball for a throw in. Remember Doris screaming one in at the Holmesdale from about 25 yards i think to go 1-0 up..was right behind it and yep the place erupted....happy days

My first home game was in '97 -- Palace vs Southampton on Boxing Day, 'Itzak Zohah's penaltly day' My first away game was the 6-0 loss to QPR -- it was 'character building' 19 years, 13 season ticket holding years later, it's still character building!

These people must be part of the south london bedrock, real people full of character.

First game was a friendly away at Highbury, just after we sold Wright. We won 2-1 (Wright scored for the Gooners.) 8/8/94 (I think)

1989 First Division vs Man Utd. Finished 1-1, I was only 6 and fell asleep for 20 minutes!! I won't lie, but I don't remember it all that well, other than how amazing I found the crowd to be!
