The question is, will far right populists lionize and follow a woman of South Asian extraction? After all being labelled as racists for years since the Lawrence thing I doubt the plod on the ground really care about being called biased.

One thing I hope that Starmer will not renege on, but think he will, is replacing the Lords with an up-to-date chamber. You can already feel the landowners and gammonry getting to him, notably the monarchy. “My government will continue to take action to ease the cost of living for families,” said the head of a family worth £21.3billion, wearing a gem-encrusted crown worth £5billion. It was like Rupert of Ruritania, I half expected Ronald Coleman to dash in sword at the ready. What must the world think looking at this antiquated mediaeval pomp and circumstance, it's like going backwards centuries.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

David Cameron is the very guy who rigged the MP selection process (same as Starmer is doing) to ensure that no white right wing conservative got a job....It's why you see the only real Tories are ethnic....because he needed to tick the diversity box in selection. The Tory MP base and leadership are social liberals and proud of the fact. I don't want them in power, they don't deserve to call themselves conservative and the Tory base has put up with this for decades....far far too long. They are lied to again and again. Large numbers of them put up with it because they essentially are 'house price' conservatives but what they need to gather is that firstly they are losing power anyway with Sunak.....so why have social liberals leading you? Also, because their beloved Tories lied to them and continually allowed around 150,000 foreigners a year to flood into the country for well over a decade all the new housing developments are going to end up in their areas. The decisions made by Sunak clearly demonstrate that he has no intention of tackling immigration, illegal or otherwise. Those in the north who voted Tory won’t be doing it again now. They want to land this problem in Labour laps and jeer from the sidelines. The biggest losers will be us.

You have no idea how bad it's going to get mate. Finance decides what happens.....You can celebrate a Labour victory and I'll be glad for you....but if you think it's going to result in things getting better. Well, you better hope that money trees exist once that money printer stops....Three to five years.
