President Trump was never found guilty of "insurrection"

Never? Surely you mean, not yet! The case in which it will be decided doesn’t happen until next year.

There's also the fact that we can't vote in the American elections so opinions on here are of limited use.

Of course true, which given the impact on us all is very frustrating.

Doesn’t mean we cannot express opinions which I do both here and elsewhere to my friends in the USA.

Yes, Trump has not been convicted of any offence in connection with those riots. In law, until he has been, he hasn't done it.

Disappointing only one judge considered that.

Four though considered the evidence was strong enough to make a summary judgement and outvoted him. I have little doubt that the USSC will, given its composition, reverse the decision and hand yet another propaganda victory to Trump!

Yet some think this is being orchestrated by the Democrats and not just by the law!

Trump must think this is his Christmas present. First, they gift him that 'Mug-Shot', which sent his support rocketing and now they back up their own lunancy about Trump being set on destroying democracy by trying to ban him from elections. LOL.

Are these people really that stupid?

As the “people” you think are involved don’t actually have anything to do with it and probably would like to see it stopped then, no they aren’t the least stupid.

This is the law speaking. With all he tried to do at the last election, in plain view, I fail to see how anyone could not think he was trying to destroy democracy as we know it and rebuild it to suit himself.

Mob bosses are the very antithesis of what being a Democrat implies.

Trump on the other hand is a pantomime villain of a mob boss. So bad he cannot possibly be true. Except he is.

Ironic that JFK had so much help from certain job bosses to get elected.

Trump was directing an insurrection on camera.

I don't see how any other conclusion could be drawn.

The US Supreme Court of conservative political appointees will probably overturn it, at least ours is independent.

Is your opinion. Even if it is true he has not been convicted of this crime.

Why should a local court make a decision that will impact the whole of the country. Trump should be prosecuted by a federal court at the highest level.

So it is alleged! Who knows if his father really did do a deal. He certainly had connections with the mob, just as Trump’s father did too.

I don’t see it having any negative impact on Trump at all. He wouldn’t win there anyway and if the USSC doesn’t overturn it then the other Republicans will withdraw “in protest”. It doesn’t stop him running anywhere else and just hands him a propaganda victory.

I do though hope I am wrong.

Exactly he wont win there, all they are doing is allowing him to play the victim card.
