You will observe the number of organisations currently issuing statements of support for the protests. Here is one - just issued - from one of the largest employers in Croydon: 'We stand in solidarity with all black people and support our communities in taking a stand against racism' This is from a national federation, tweeted last night: As a group of individuals with a collective commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion in housing we want to express our solidarity with people in America standing up against racism and injustice. Now what do you think their next move will be? Oh, I know, stop hiring black people... And don't forget that all major employers will have a diversity initiative that is measured very tightly against its targets. The effect of the current protests will be to galvanise diversity projects. You clearly havent grasped any thing that's been posted. I think we are all against racism in all its forms including anti semitism. No one I mean no one on here has intimated in any way that they are in favour of racism. You write as though any one who doesnt agree with the violence is a racist.

If you are perfect and white or perfect and black it's down to attitude, apptitude presentation and experience of the role you are pursuing. Does that not beat targets.

This is where unconscious bias kicks in. If you had two candidates who were exactly the same on paper, and all of the above, it's proven that someone would select someone closer to themselves than not. When the large majority of the time that person making the decision is a white (and more often than not male) person, this is where the system perpetuates itself. There are lots of psychology studies on it. This isn't just me being a 'right on' lefty. Edited by DanH (04 Jun 2020 6.51pm)

Those who have taken the red pill know the society as it's currently structured isn't going to change.....Its spiral is set...it's baked in. Our ideas are on other long term routes and are inevitable.....and actually require what you boast about. Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Jun 2020 7.00pm)

Finding two candidates with identical skills, experience, salary expectations is never really going to happen. Unconscious bias more than certainly exists, but this is just creating a fictional situation where people can be claim victimisation. Although, I am aware it happens on peoples addresses in low skilled jobs. I have a friend who's a recruitment consultant in a south west city. When they get a CV in from an eastern European they always put those ahead of people from one of the big council estates.... why, because there is an unconscious bias against white british working class as they are deemed (sometimes rightly) as lazier than people who are willing to emigrate to find work. In response to this treatment those people voted Brexit, joined the EDL and start fights at football matches. They are branded as morons and racist by the left (often both true), but no one questions why they feel so alienated and why they believe they have a right to act like a dickhead.

How can you deal with that apart from assuming it is there. How do you not know. You yourself have an unconscious bias in the way you yourself accuse lots of people of being racist. You dont know us, you dont know what colour some of us are or our family makeup. You make that assumption on the fact we dont agree with you on your politics. So you unconsciously make an assumption. It's not just about race.

In my experience the people who whinged and complained all the time about discrimination or unfairness were not up to the job. They wanted a free pass because they were (insert name of group). The rest of us, black white man women gays etc. just got on with it. Cases of real discrimination are rare simply because Corporate cannot afford the bad publicity and commonsense tells you if that person has real talent you want them working for you and not your competitors. Where I did discriminate was against troublemakers I would not willingly employ a whinger always looking for an angle. We did have them but they were a minority and of no particular race. If that make me guilty of discrimination so be it by why hire a live hand grenade that can go off anytime.
