Sorry to hear that, mate. It must be a worry. Fingers crossed for you that she's soon vaccinated. I was more relieved that I realised I'd be when my ol' Mum was finally vaccinated. It felt like a weight was lifted off.

Thanks mate. To be honest she’s more honked off that no one can get to her 90th birthday than about getting the jab.

Sore arm? Mine lasted two days

I had my jab three and a half weeks ago, and soreness in the arm has only in the last few days started to wear off. I think I'll ask them to do the other arm next time.

Yeah, must be a real downer especially at that ripe old age. I hope you get to see her as soon as is possible!

Thanks Bluejay.
Sky are reporting that vaccine take-up by care home staff is only 66%. This seems low for people who should be more aware than most of the potential risks.

Had my first Pfizer jab on Thursday morning at Headcorn aerodrome and been waiting for some ill effects ... there's been absolutely nothing to report!

Being an old'n I had mine a couple of weeks ago, but don't worry chaps if you've not had yours yet.
It'll soon be your turn after the migrants staying at your expense in fancy hotels have had theirs. They're getting priority apparently.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Yes, while hopefully elderly getting the jab should offer good protection, it would clearly be better for all care home staff too also, so it doesn't send out a great message.

We are around 30%. Driving me mad. This is what social media causes when nobody manages misinformation, disinformation and malinformation

Shocking that it's that low. I get the 'my choice' argument, but what it can so easily be of direct detriment to those being cared for, you'd think getting vaccinated would be a no brainer. As you rightly say, most of it comes down to unfounded fears.
