I said it at the end of last season... He came in, did a job and we should of paid him off then and said thank you very much... How much can a 72 year old build for the future?? We deserved nothing from today and got not nothing... I genuinely don't think that Kelly and Tomkins are compatible... And if I'm honest I think Tomkins has been below par for a couple of months now. Our lack of creativity yesterday and last week is really concerning at times.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

It is a regimented style of play.

It certainly feels like the club needs a whole system reboot in the summer but there is plenty of uncertainty off the field as there is on it. I think Roy has reached the end of the road now it really has been dull watching us this season at home we are just so predictable at opposition teams must love coming to Selhurst as they know that’s it’s a guaranteed win if they don’t mess up. Only trouble with getting a new manager is the whole process will take most of pre season the amount of phaffing about Parish does in these situations

Listen to former players: Bullard, Murphy etc. They say he's a good enough coach)manager but training is f***ing boring. Lewington has near enough said this is what they do: repeat, repeat, repeat and that players who can be obedient get picked, simple as that. It looks to me like even his most obedient 11 are bored as f*** and are playing under a cloud. His time has run its course.

Some of the players we have and have had this season haven't been quite up to it whether it's confidence or injury we've had too many along the season ..almost every game (especially at home) we are making daft individual mistakes at both ends, yesterday Watford made one notable mistake in a silly area and we took the opportunity very well with our loaned striker ..all our own strikers would have struggled massively with that chance apart from maybe Wickham, Watford tend to not miss opportunities, look where they are in the league.

My understanding is that there are constant drills to increase awareness of responsibility in terms of defensive organisation and discipline. All about shape, positioning of players in relation to their team-mates and distances etc etc.Organisation, organisation, organisation !

And how is that inflexibility achieved then if not through repetition? Sounds like you basically agree, so thanks.

It's a pity therefore that despite repeating various defensive exercise routines to the extent that they should be second nature by now, the players still have no idea how to defend a corner or set piece.
