A large reason was that it was full of foreigners who didn't care about it.

Yep, that was a big reason for it.

I think he's right, and I think the only reason ak47s aren't involved is the fact we have a body of water between us and mainland Europe.

Probably very true, but its also difficult in the UK to also buy, train maintain and transport such firearms, as well as obtaining ammo for them. Europe has different gun laws plus a number of smuggling routes into France and Spain that come through Muslim countries (which also have borders with countries like Libya etc).

And the significant factor there is 'train' learning how to use, maintain an assault rifle is going to be difficult, especially given the availability of ammo is probably scarce.

France and Europe have a bit of trouble with black market AK rifles, which tend to find their way into Europe via the old eastern European countries and their old stockpiles.

You have endless previous for it.

Yes, you can. Its typically the product of neurotransmitter imbalance in the central nervous system and brain. Schizophrenia occurs as a result of excessive dopamine, depression due to low levels of 5-HT / Serotonin. Bi-Polar.

There isn't however anything insane about IS. It makes sense, in the same way Al-Qaeda makes sense - there is money, status and power in Islamist Jyhad and politics, and there always will be whilst the majority of countries that Muslims live in outside of Europe are typically brutal dictatorships in which only paramilitary oppositional politics survive.

Indeed a lot of those Dictatorships / Monarchys and other tyrant types support their own factions of Islamist groups outside themselves as a means of political influence - and that's very true of countries like UAE, Saudi and Qatar - where the idea of funding Jyhadists abroad is very much about keeping the wolves from their own door.

Because if your Jordan or Saud, the last thing you really want is those Islamist movements not having an enemy, because with absolute certainity, they'd be turning their attention to the middle east.

No idea. That probably needs to be established by the police. My guess would be none of them, or they'd probably have been able to make explosives and detonators. A rented van and some knives to me, don't really suggest a lot of experience and instruction. To me it seems more like 'DIY terrorism' cobbled off the Westminster Bridge attack.

If you'd spent a year in Syria with a view to bringing the 'war back home', I'd expect them to be able to rig up a few bombs.

Jamie if you have spent a year in Syria...you can bet they a) know how to make a bomb, and b) know their way around an AK47..
I want the f***ed before they get the chance, because if a couple of those c***s get their hands on a couple of automatic weapons..God help any one in the way.

Don't under estimate them jamie.

I don't honestly think that anybody on here is a sympathizer (with the possible exception of that vegan gent from a couple of weeks ago, from whom pretty much nothing would surprise me...). Apologist is a softer accusation, and I think that some people transform into apologists without meaning to, in their efforts to try to comprehend why somebody would do something so horrible. It's human nature to try to ascribe a rational motivation to something so horrible. And to try to identify in some way with the enemy, to make them seem less scary. I'm no psychiatrist, but I would guess that Stockholm Syndrome is based on the same emotional defense mechanism. It's a natural human reaction to fear. The truth is that we're faced with a heavily armed and fanatical cult of delusional sociopaths hell bent on inflicting as much destruction on our society as possible, under the fervent belief that an invisible man with magical powers who lives in the sky will send them to eternal paradise if they torture and murder as many of us as possible as painfully as possible. The fact that people like that exist, and have the means to infiltrate our countries is frankly terrifying. This truth makes us understandably uncomfortable. A natural reaction, which happens perhaps even subconsciously, is to convince oneself that the enemy can't possibly be as monstrous as they seem.

Fortunately not. So far their weapons in the UK have been knives, cars and homemade explosives. Also I don't think they're infiltrating our country, but living among us, and I suspect that they're less fanatical than 'we'd like to believe'. I doubt their sociopathic as sociopaths don't tend to play well with others.

They're just probably dumb, angry, young men who started in assorted protest groups and the like, and become increasingly radicalised over time until they decided to act on it. Or converts to Islam

I'd agree.

I'm not, I'm saying they probably haven't spent time there, because they'd likely have had a much better plan and not be reliant on knives and a car.

Those f**kers who are in Syria or have returned will be a much bigger problem, and need to be dealt with.

Indeed, the House of Saud was also one of Al-Qaeda's biggest hates, which is probably why so many of the 9/11 attackers came from Saudi, and so much of its resources, include Bin Laden were Saudi - Oddly Saudi exports a lot of its 'internal problems with terrorism' to other nations - making it 'someone else's problem'

Regimes that repress their own people inevitably create extremist responses to it. Using religion as a form of rallying cry is far easier in that instance.

As for the regime itself I think....though I don't really know....I think they use their exporting of their form of religion as a buffer against their opponents.

How much the leaders in Saud actually activitely support violence in the west should hopefully be revealed soon via that report.
