I could understand him going to Burnley/Ipswich or Preston over us...but Charlton....why?

I will be so bitter if he goes to the caravan club.

Is that what you call Charlton? I can't see that. I've said all along that you were the club I was worried we'd lose him to

Yes they are the "caravan dwellers" don't know where that comes from. Perhaps there is hope for you though because there is still a good chance he will turn down both? Reportedly he turned down Burnley?

He did. And Southampton and Peterborough but none of them had gone as far as this with the club openly saying they've offered it. Doesn't normally happen unless they're pretty sure it will be accepted because it doesn't make the 2nd choice feel good.

Wait for our team to be decimated too as Wiggins, Pearce, Bartley, Pugh and possibly Jalal follow him.

No way in hell will he choose the pikeys. If he does choose us it will make it even sweeter. Palace is the much more attractive proposition of the 2 clubs.

too far gone.. aint no way back

If we do get him may I be the first to wish Bournemouth every success in the future.

I'd be surprised if we took many players to be honest. Although we are short at LB and Wiggins was with us for years but who knows, that is too far down the line and complete speculation.

Burnley could be purely logistical as the travelling is a no go so relocation is needed.

I can't see Charlton as a problem really. I think it's a lot to do with SP. isn't his expertise in advertising? Because he sure knows how to sell something/where.

I didn't for one minute think we'd have Ambrose and Speroni signed to new deals this season. The man obviously has a knack for it, or a bigger cheque book than he's letting on!

I also wonder if there's been news on a new stadium or redevelopment that was mentioned a few months back? New ground and a new team on and off the fields is a real chance to build your own thing

For f*cks sake Murray!!

My concern would be Ipswich as a rival proposition.

Has betting been suspended on Sky Bet? Only I can't find the odds on next Palace manager? Either its been suspended or my eyes are playing tricks on me

So Sky are saying one thing and CPFC2010 another.

Maybe things have changed since it was posted on the main website! SP may have got a small wiff of Charlton offering him the job and he got in there straight away and gave EH the chance to come here!
