i'm stunned at some of the people/posts on here. it ranges from s***, stupid, repetitive questions being asked, to people complaining that their questions weren't answered (mine weren't, my toys are still in the pram) to people recommending Steve 'keep his mouth shut' and others damning it a publicity stunt! ...unbelievable. And i'm sorry, but i have to say it: Prin_cpfc, you have come across as a right spoiled, unreasonable, attention-seeking brat. I have no idea how old you are but if you're anything over 17 years old, it's very worrying. Pathetic. Stay away Monday and try to grow up.
Plus, I wasn't really looking to enter a discussion with you- i made my judgement based on what you have said over the course of this thread and not what you are about to say in response to that judgement. Have a nice day.

I think sometimes we should just chill out and realise other people have different opinions. That's no bad thing! We also need to remember that when Steve and the guys took control they did so to avoid the club going completely! This is their first go at club ownership with no experience of it but they do have huge experience in business which is where the long term safety of our team will be based, on successful business planning and careful financial management. Of course they want a return at some point on their investment and of course they will know that a return has a better chance based on investment. The club was in turmoil this time last year and we should not forget what CPFC2010 have done for us and the club. Rebuilding takes time and the first priority should be as it was last year to ensure our place in the Championship. Then use next season as the platform to drive on. GB in the owners eyes was nit the right person to achieve is. I trust and reedy their decision but as the saying goes you can't please all of the people all of the time as long as people share their opinions with respect of others this could be and should be a happy forum to debate on not a place to receive a slagging from people that don't agree with you! We are all Palace so come on lets get behind the owners, the team and whoever is our next manager!!!!!!!

SW2 Eagle - have you ever appointed anyone into a management position ? I have. When you appoint them it is because you believe they are competent and have the ability to succeed at their job. You give them your support - which they need - because you have the responsibility to do so as they were your appointment. When things go wrong - initially - you stand by your man. When they continue to go wrong you start to doubt your own judgement - have I made the right appointment ? When things are getting no better you cling to a hope that something will turn things around. But there is a point when you can't see things improving and that is when you have to make the tough decision. That is all I think happened with Burley. Had we of won yesterday, 2010 may have interpreted that as a corner turned and given him more time. We didn't - we were well beaten - and they took the right decision, with a measure of regret and disappointment I'm sure. You don't appoint people into jobs wanting to see them fail.

From what I have read, you obviously need to get off your high horse. I tell you what though, I will go on Monday and I'll cancel my season ticket. One less out of the 13k that go won't make a difference, eh?

Do you actually have a shortlist in place or will you decide that if/when cv's are received?
gianfranco stands at 5'5 and a half, though he is a big football man . gave stanislav and zines their debuts ; and had the likes of collison, tomkins and sears as regulars. its noticeable that avram grant has turned to playing the youngsters in west ham recent upturn. zola is 44 i think so we need to be looking for a young energetic manager if you are looking at long term progress our strength has to be through our academy. in the short short term then dougie has to jump into the fire. malky mackay did the same at watford in between managers before taking over. whether freedman is ready we will have some idea in the next few games.

I can't believe that Mr Parish was still on here at gone 2am last night, specifically answering SW2's points personally, and he's still moaning like a kid who's had his sweets nicked. SW2 - if you're still unhappy, go and talk to SP yourself tomorrow. He offered to meet with you, why don't you take him up on the offer? Then come back on here and report how it went. Have you got the bottle to challenge your misconceptions? Or will you just stay on here whining and thinking you know better than the people who put their money where their mouths are and know the club from the inside? I believe this was a genuine offer from SP. Either take him upon it and hear it from the horse's mouth, then come and tell us how it went, or stop bloody moaning. You're sounding like a broken record - if you refuse to meet SP like he offered, your argument will carry no validity whatsoever. Will you do it?

Agree totally. There are some very bizarre posts in this thread. It would appear that some individuals consider that they have some kind of divine right to demand answers from CPFC2010. If the owners continue to provide an opportunity for fans to engage directly with them (wouldn't blame them if they didn't given some of the nonsense spouted) then it surely must be done on the understanding that they are perfectly within their rights to decide which questions they choose to answer and how. Some people seem to forget that it is CPFC2010 who own the club and have significant investment on the line, not them. For the moderators, I wonder if there's some way of better handling these Q&A sessions so that the 5/6 pages of reasoned discussion can be filtered from the 40 odd pages of repetition and childish in-fighting?!
