Did I suggest it was alright? If you think so then perhaps you ought to reread my first comment on the subject. The Catholic Herald are though in no position to complain as they carry some of the most hypocritical and intolerant pieces of journalism you are ever likely to read. They used to have a forum which I contributed to for a while as my wife then was a practising Catholic and I wanted to understand the reasoning for some of the things they were so firm about. It was quite an experience. Intransigence on fire. Self righteousness without any attempt at reasoning. If you were a Catholic you must believe without question, and they did. The attitudes resonate with some found here.

Or maybe he will surface in the USA, get himself onto one of Trump’s rally platforms (Trump circulated at least one of his videos) like Farage did. Perhaps if Trump wins he’ll ask Starmer to appoint him as our Ambassador. For someone so anti EU it’s ironic he feels safer there than in his own country.

People from the UK now need to claim asylum abroad due to political beliefs. I was thinking Hungary - or go the whole hog, Russia.

I know what he means. However, while the central mass in Britain has gone from small 'c' to central left I don't see that trend continuing due to decline and the eventual disillusionment with Labour in power. However, the rapidly increasing minority population will always vote left and eventually it's possible that they will operate as the left's foot soldiers as they do in the US.
