2nd vote due in a few minutes. All about to fall for her trap. She reveals the outline of negotiations and objecting MPs Nick Clegg and co cannot prevent triggering of Article 50 in March. She's good.

The Government won the vote by a 372 majority after 448 voted for and 75 against. Onwards and upwards so they say!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

You don't think that believing that leaving will bugger up the economy, reduce environmental protection, isolate the UK geopolitically, while costing the country a fortune is a reasonable reason to seek scrutiny and check whether Brexit makes sense? No

I reckon that political parties shouldn't be class or identity based. Much better for parties to advocate policies based on best evidence rather than just marketing, no? They were. Now they're not. Things seem to have moved on.

It is a question of priorities. What do you mean? I think it's a bit of a slander to suggest that the ONLY possible motive for wanting a vote, wanting scrutiny, or even wanting a referendum/election on terms is political skullduggery. You don't seem to allow for people to regard the future as brighter in the EU. Surely the number one priority is creating the conditions for the UK to be in the best position it can?

What do you propose to do about it? Me personally? Not much I can do on my own. I have an inbuilt mistrust of any politician of any hue. Voting only encourages them. A plague on all their houses.

But if we do nothing, then the chances that things change is zero. If we do something increases a fraction. Individually we can't do much, but maybe collectively we can. But then, isn't thatjust forming another political party? But what's the alternative?
