Tories raise tax burden to nearly 40% of national income, and will inflict a further £3,500 per family before the next election, worst since WW2. They will be 'irreversible' too wow. And you will get nothing, no investment, no growth no 'hope or aspiration' only debt and misery. A typical example of the tories:- Sunak rinsing every last drop out of the taxpayer, an asset-stripper, a landlord incessantly putting up the rent while lining the pockets of the rich and his mates. And behind it all, the dog-whistle immigration call to their mainly elderly supporters. There are 5 million renters I can't see them voting tory so I think only 20 seats win for labour, but they are too right wing and aligning themselves to a failed economic model. I agree, their socialist-lite actions have done untold harm.

Phil is an odd character but spot on in this vid 'does Sunak have a mandate to govern?' Of course this is avoided, like Brexit, by Kuessenberg and the tory media. But it's true and allowed in our lords and serfs unwritten constitution. A figure that you cannot have voted for can become PM, then tear up the mandate given to the government by the public at an election, purely because he doesn't like it. For example net zero was a flagship policy with specific steps in the manifesto, which the public voted on and handed BJ a large majority. Now Sunak has torn it up although his first statement on entering No.10 as unelected by the public was that he would deliver on the 2019 manifesto. There is no requirement to seek a fresh mandate from the public, or even consult.

What does Steely reckon to this? [Tweet Link]
Would he join this kind of thing....kind of looks like fun. Maybe it'll end up with mods and rockers fights on beach fronts again....except just this time it's with politically odd oldsters in weird uniforms quickly running out of puff and spending their pocket money on sticks of rock. The progressives would lose of course as they are much more likely to be when pumping Jim than going to one. Edited by Stirlingsays (03 Oct 2023 6.15am)

Sunak is an absolute plant, put in place to lose the next election. What happened to Truss was an utter disgrace. To be fair to Starmer, he did actually get the leadership via a vote of the membership. Of course, he lied and lied, and has reversed on almost everything he promised and his treatment of Corbyn in an utter disgrace. And before anybody comments, and with some understandability, this is not 'whataboutery'. Merely me stressing that I believe both Sunak and Starmer are puppets. Come the next election, there is no real choice and is probably the most pointless election ever held because whatever either party tell you they will do cannot be trusted. Both men have deliberately sort to undermine their own political party be it Sunak and EVERYTHING he has done allied with Starmer who championed the insanity of Labours second referendum policy in 2019 which destroyed their chances of winning. We are led by people who are brazen liars. And cheats. And our supposedly 'independent' media are part of the entire rotten structure.

For some of us that choice comes later this month as I live in the constituency of the disgraced Tory MP Christopher Groper. I don't think that I have ever voted for anyone other than Conservative but now I'm really stuck as I don't like or trust either of the main parties so my choices are either to waste my vote on Monster Raving Loonies or to just not bother to vote at all

Under no illusions about how it has always been rigged to a certain extent but now beyond the pale.

There ought to be some kind of audit of a total crap system like ours. Perhaps we should put the UK into 'special measures' and get somewhere like Finland to run it for a period. Do they have a name the modern 'left' marchers look like a rabble to me, hardly Harold Wilson. And there is a problem that Starmer & Co. appear to be well to the right of the middle ground, foreign owners and chinese pension funds have clearly nothing to be bothered about with labour - let the sewage flow.

Conservative members ‘thrown out of Manchester gay bar’ after being made to feel ‘uncomfortable’ by anti-Tory drag act. Last time I'm coming here - Bill Cash. Shut yer gobs - Lee Anderson. Just seen some pakistani woman doing her nut about HS2 and the tories and the north. It's better than anything inside the conference hall anyway.

I did for a period indulge in voting for the name which most tickled me or caught my eye, purely as satire, but unless it's a case of 'the lesser of evils' I have chosen not to vote simply because there is very little ideology left in politics beyond warped and badly constructed populism. It's a case of 'choose your idiot/liar' as far as I am concerned. The day I hear or read of a politician or even party I have any faith in will be a fantastic one, but not something I hold much hope for.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
