NDAs are a standard part of many a severance agreement. A quid pro quo to ensure the employee gets above the legal minimum in severance pay and the employer is protected from the employee revealing trade or other secrets. It’s nothing the least unusual, doesn’t have to be signed by the employee and can be, and sometimes is, ignored by them if they have information they believe ought to be revealed in the public interest. How often has anyone been sued for breaking a NDA? They are more a restraint on malicious action than a restriction on the truth. If anyone has evidence of poor behaviour there are many ways to get it out there.

I see absolutely no evidence of our judiciary being politically motivated. Elsewhere certainly but not here.

That our printed media is politically motivated is obviously true. The vast majority being right leaning. The only broadcaster who is politically motivated is GBNews, who are also right leaning.

There are obviously religiously motivated terror threats, which our security services are actively monitoring and intercepting. There are criminal grooming gangs which are slowly being brought to justice by painstaking police investigation. There are protests that, occasionally, can get out of hand. How the police manage anything like that so the peace is safely and quickly restored is an operational matter for them. There is a significant issue with illegal immigration, for which there is no silver bullet answer. Are any getting amnesties? News to me. On what basis? Some will be granted asylum, which isn’t an amnesty.

You, and Y-L, preface the description of these problems with “Islamist” and thereby hangs Y-L’s problem.

Criminal activity, if there is any, is done by people, either as individuals or in groups. It’s not done by a religion.

As an atheist I have little time for any religious belief and condemn anyone who hides criminal activity behind it. That said we must never condemn a religion just because some criminals claim to adhere to it.

Y-L is on a mission which puts Islam in the centre of his view of everything that’s wrong. He has been on that mission for years, which has turned into a nice little earner for him.

We have the law and the justice system to deal with criminals. It’s imperfect and often slow but it’s our way. We don’t need rabble rousers winding up vigilantes .
