We are not talking about the brave people who serve their country during war time. Fortunately we aren’t currently involved in any wars. This is about those who are serving us at home.

Conventions need to be agreed internationally and ratified individually. The days are long gone when we could just impose our ideas on others. It might be obsolete for you, but it’s what we have, so we had better find more practical solutions than expecting the rules to be changed just to suit us. Going full on isolation would stop the flow, but not improve anything at home. It would also reduce trade dramatically and affect us so much that it would soon be reversed. There's no time like the present.

There's no time like the present. There might not be, but when international agreement is needed for any realistic chance of change being achieved the present quickly becomes yesterday. It might be more sensible to target the year after next to start the preparatory work to set a timetable for the initial discussions.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Don’t think it makes any difference. pakistan is listed without any special notes and in a document like this there would probably be. You would need to be a specialist in this area to be certain. pakistan was not a Commonwealth country on 1/1/73 therefore pakistanis were not Commonwealth Citizens. There is a possibility that many of the offenders were not in the UK then, unless born here. Without any knowledge of individual cases I would surmise many came over as dependants or spouses after 1/1/73. In HO case working, pakistan nationals were not treated as Comminwealth Citizens, indeed they had there own case working section, as I assume the powers that be, thought they would rejoin at anytime ( I spent a lovely 2 years in that section)
