These lot are the third world no matter where they go and have the same socio-economic problems all over the world, not because of any countries policies or attitudes but because of their own nature. WTF is this about? [Tweet Link] Well his life didn't matter did it! Wonder how much effort will be made to find the assailant? Oh wait he wasn't a Toomy Robison supporter so probably none

Slavery is always justified by a sense of collective guilt. People taken in war for example. Deemed to be lesser than because they were on the wrong side. Or in the case of the slavery experienced in the Western World, then on the basis of 'lesser than' human. The sense of collective guilt at the very heart of it all. And white people kneeling in this manner is the modern expression of that. Now in terms of an individual making the choice to do so then best of British to them. But this is going to be turned around. Made into a way of defining the kind of Whiteness you identify with. Out of interest are your knees dirty yet? Edited by Matov (04 Jun 2020 10.36am) On the flipside, I think it would be better to define the unjust use of power as a reflex action caused by insecurity. Why did Britain form an Empire. Partly because they had the material means to do so. But also because Lizzy I was feeling threatened by the Spanish armada, so granted the EIC a royal assent to expand their profiteering abroad. Thus our move to produce the world's first truly global system of slavery was based on an insecurity we felt at home. Our empire only survived because of our anxiety that we would be overrun by the French, Dutch or Spanish empires themselves. This anxiety was at the heart of our genocides, our racial superiority complex, all of it. And now, your insecurity is leading you to support a President who defies all democratic conventions and threatens to turn the troops on his own people, even when the majority are protesting peacefully. He does so out of an anxiety to cling to power, and you do it because you have this fear of being subjugated. Just relax, come off HOL for a week, go for a run or something. You're not about to be enslaved.

So I have a choice? Sit back and be happy to leave my kids a world in which they will be forced to bend the knee? Or oppose it now? I am sure you cheer on the direct action that you are seeing now. Feel it is justified. That the destruction is nothing to get that fret up about. Only property right? People are insured. What is the big deal? After all collective guilt is good right?

Love how white people are being criticised, as are the government. As are the police, yet no one is allowed to say anything about the black community. Their involvement in crime and murders, their gang culture, their involvement in drugs and knife crime. Apparently everyone must be criticised but them. If they think it’s sh@t here they should try living in some other parts of the world.

Maybe if the cops who murdered that guy had been charged immediately with murder, as they should have, then there wouldn't have been a need for the protests?

I predicted well before this George Floyd murder that crime would rocket. Unemployment makes it even worse than the organised crime. And because fewer people will have newer stuff, you should keep your wits about you.
