I would have liked to wait until the end of the season where more choice is available, but things are getting so bad i think we need to act now, and the only available one i would go for is Cooper, and he would be my fourth choice

According to the 'mirror'(i know), we have drawn up a 4-man list with Potter, Cooper, Lopetegui & Mainz's Bo Svensson(new name), Another manager not been mentioned is Oliver Glastner, ex of Eintracht Frankfurt( their nickname is The Eagles).

Now, 3 of those have been spotted at our games in the last few months. I think Roy has got the next match, lose-bye, win-stay, it's that simple, tho Palace don't do simple.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Can we have a manager who shows some touchline excitement, rather than moping around like a pensioner wondering if a bus is ever going to turn up or whether he's mis-read the timetable?
And one who doesn’t use his pre-match interviews to heap praise on the opposition.
If we were due to play Penge Under-Sevens, he’d say they are a strong team with some wonderful players and a great manager and we will have to be at our best if we want a result.
Then after another abject display, would say we deserved something from the game.

I must be odd in that I don't care how old the manager is, what he looks like, or what he says in interviews. I just want him to win football matches.

Or perhaps it's you...

I would imagine that if there isn't an announcement by lunchtime Monday we can assume that he will be in charge against Sheff Utd.

But don't you think pre-match optimism and encouragement during the game is more likely to bring the results we all want, rather than what comes across as a hang-dog pessimism?

Different people have different styles.

Ray Lew is the more active on the touchline and that's always been the case when working together.

Neither you or I know what is being said to the players pre match or during it.

I'm guessing that you wouldn't have written any of this if we were winning games.

I'd back them to score from a set piece against us.

My thoughts too. I was excited yesterday thinking potter might step in. Now I feel it’s Hodgson or cooper

Usually I'd be against changing mid-season especially now without a window to correct in. However we are so slow in the Transfer Market that a new manager in the summer will mean faffing about getting them in followed by no transfers until the end of the window. On that basis getting someone now will at least have us a bit more time to get organised for next season.

So with that in mind I think Cooper who seems more pragmatic than Potter. Not sure we have time to swap from Royball to Potterball mid-season. Plus he's got a great record with young players which will help.

If Roy does go then I think Cooper is probably the most likely option. Potter may still believe he can get a bigger job whereas I doubt Cooper is thinking that right now. As much as I'd love him to come the ex-Wolves manager Lopetegui has too much pedigree to believe he'll show up with us unless the chequebook suddenly bursts open.

The other thing with Copper is he seems to build a rapport with fans which is greatly needed right now. If Roy wasn't a local lad with a history at the club then he'd be getting a lot more abuse right now.
