No, my point was just that.....a diplomat can't be assured that what they say won't come out.....someone let this guy down massively and a leak like that is a big no no in my book. I'm not so critical about what he said.....I mean, I think he could have said the same thing more tactfully but then again he is paid to give his thoughts. He seems ill suited politically to that president but...whatever....the episode....apart from the serious issues around the security breach itself.... isn't that big of a deal. Surely diplomats.....should be diplomatic but still get their points across. Anyway, the US is far too important a country for petty discord....Mind you I'd probably cheer if Johnson slagged the EU off so I'm a bit of a hypocrite in this regard. It's usually better when calmer heads prevail......just less juicy. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Jul 2019 5.25am)

Dammit. I didn't realise that there was a grilling by Andrew Neill on last night and missed all but the last 10 minutes with Boris. Unlike the pussies that interviewed them in the last programs Neill gave Boris a right going over which he had to bear through gritted teeth. Unfortunately I missed all of Hunt's grilling

Has anyone got a link of the stand up debate when Hunt says Boris doesn’t answer the question or he’s good for a laugh but not PM?

Unfortunately I missed all of Hunt's grilling Andrew Neil gave both candidates a right grilling.Hunt at times looked somewhat annoyed at times, whilst Boris was Boris rambling like clematis with Neil trying to get him to answer questions.Uncomfortable for both candidates in my humble opinion.
