The Tommy Robinson thread on the BBS is hilarious right now. The usual loons and the HOL rejects in full outrage mode.

Also, there are double standards as other news outlets reported yet the law hasn't deemed fit to punish them. We know the real reason Robinson was arrested. Once again, he was advised to plead guilty. That doesn't mean anything about this is ok. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Jun 2018 2.14pm)

This one was a technicality, as he was outside the court. When you read the law on which he is convicted then essentially anyone reporting this could be prosecuted......Yet only Robinson was. On the stream he asks the Police if he's alright to be there. He made a mistake and the state took advantage. It's a double standard. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Jun 2018 2.37pm)

Sometimes though, the law do just want to nab someone and eventually they get the opportunity to do so and they grab it with both hands. This isn’t unusual and if you give the police that opportunity and they take it, then you can hardly complain about it.

if i attend the trial of, say, The Yorkshire Ripper, and i throw sh1t at him from the bench. Legally i am in contempt of court. Morally i am a hero. And i will plead that i am guilty of throwing sh1t at a murdering worthless piece of sh1t. And i would do it all again. Guilty as charged, bloody but unbowed.

Yep, Robinson did brake the terms written up (though it's a technicality in my view) and he knows they are out to get him. So, yep he made a mistake. Originally posted by Brentmiester_General
The more I think about it, the more I go along with the idea that it is a massive play on TR’s part. And to be fair to him it is working in his favour at the moment. Big time. How the authorities take to this however, is going to be the interesting thing to watch. I can’t see them being happy about what happened on the weekend, that’s for sure. You aren't the first to float this. I don't see it myself but time will tell. There's a lot of polarisation about and unfortunately I don't see things getting better......Sorry to be a downer about it really.
