I notice that TUSC polled 261 in Croydon North and 127 in Croydon Central (two more votes than the Communist Party of Britain candidate in Croydon North). Perhaps Nickgussett can explain the rejection of his policies by the people of Croydon?

Perhaps you can explain your love for me. Posting a week and you've name checked me 56 times.

It is because I despise your 'politics' and constant posting of propaganda links.

I've endured it (mostly) for nine years - you've only been here 5 minutes, wait a bit longer and it will really wear you down.

I think I am now officially an opponent of FPTP.

1. Voting in a 20 year old student over a former foreign secretary makes a joke of the constituency link.

2. UKIP gets 10% of the vote but only 1 seat.

It is untenable.

Er we had a plebiscite on this in 2011 and a two thirds majority voted for no change.

I agree, The face of politics is changing & for the likes of ukip/greens who had a fair chunk of the population vote for them the current system doesn't make much sense at all.

The mountains are calling & I must go.

It is very much as you were for ukip, the target remains 2020, in fact I remember saying the same at the last election.

But you've only been on here for a couple of weeks. The word constant would suggest otherwise.

I predict that not only will the Tories be the largest party they might just get a majority. If not, they will go for a minority's govt rather than go I to coalition again and dare the opposition to vote down the Queesn's Speech. Going further, I think they will put something in the Queen's Speech to make it impossible for Labour to stand aloof - such as new union restrictions.

Can I refer the Hon Gentlemen to the above prediction.
Smug mode engaged.

Well I for one have changed my mind. I used to like FPTP.

If we had a referendum tomorrow - on PR, AV is not good enough - then I would support it.

Greens and UKIP get over 20% of the vote between them. 2 seats out of 650.

The Essenpee get a quarter as many votes but 55 seats.

It's untenable.

We'd only ever have coalition Governments, and we do have a kind of PR, but on a constituency basis, which you'd lose if you went for complete PR.

I loathe Cameron. I would have liked to see the back of him.

But:

1. I’m quite looking forward to the Tory right wingers tearing lumps out of him over Europe

2. we might be getting rid of the Jocks.

Silver linings and all that.

On the other hand, 5 more years of Gusset links and Serial Thriller moans about "heartless" cuts to the "vulnerable" poor and disabled...

Not sure I can take five more years of hand-wrining General Talk lefty moaning.

I know. Like I said, I was a supporter of FPTP. Just yesterday I was listing its advantages.

But you've got 4 and half million people - 10% of the turnout - who get 0.3% of the representation. It's not on.

Most certainly not European.
