Edited by Teddy Eagle (02 Dec 2023 11.27pm) Some of the attitudes that were born in the sixties have endured and enabled the social progress we can see today. I am not talking about economics. I am talking about the way we live and respond to each other. Love is stronger today. I don’t think anything in life is more valuable. Maybe such things pass by many who post on here but they are very important and much improved. Expect a torrent of sarcasm about leftish woke from the usual bunch who would not recognise any of it as real.

Not really... every time I look at the news I am being shamed for being a white straight Male, accused of being "Far right", privileged etc....its not very inclusive at all. Any shame that you perceive arises solely from yourself. Nobody is forcing it on you. If you behave honourably at all times then you have nothing to be ashamed about.

Greg Gutfeld stands up for Musk, free speech and Tucker Carlson on Fox. Criticising Fox on their own network. I tip my hat to him. I guess the lawyers and editors didn't get to him fast enough. [Tweet Link]

Some social attitudes might have improved but others haven't; the liberalisation of drug laws hasn't benefitted many.

There are many who believe the current ones aren’t working and reform is needed. Panaceas are as rare as Palace scoring more than once at the moment.

I didn't say our laws; the thread is about US politics. OK but the same applies there. Some States have relaxed. Others not. The jury is out on which strategy will eventually deliver the best outcome.
