hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Odd that the police don't use this inflammatory language when referring to BLM, Palestinian, eco zealots. Perhaps there is a two tier policing. "The Met Police said they had identified people in the crowd who had been linked to 'football violence' and anti-lockdown protests." Of course you will never find people with convictions for violence in left wing demos, so no need to mention it

Update So after all the headlines yesterday with the police calling the demonstrators football hooligans there was little trouble, I think 2 arrests. Meanwhile there was far more trouble at the Palestinian demonstration and real football hooligans at Wembley. 2 tier policing standards indeed.

Here is the unbiased bbc's take on this plus other demo's & arrests . . . [Link]
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

And of the two arrests one was for drunk and disorderly. As has been said far more arrested at the other demos and one of the demos was not notified to the Police, as is required now. It seems that the reason for the demo has been proven. Two tier Policing.

Over the years we have had plenty of left wing protests where it was obvious that there would be violence I don't remember the police reporting that were were troublemakers and criminals in the crowd "before" it kicked off. At a BLM march how many of that crowd have conviction for violence I suspect more than just 1 or 2. So well done to the cops you have proved Robinson right by branding people as far right and football hooligans when you don't do the same to other protest groups.

If they identified previous offenders then they have every reason to point it out. I have no doubt at all that if they identified previous offenders at any other march they would also say so. The difference being that people like YL and his supporters want to be recognised whilst most others try to conceal their identities.

Keeping the YL one under control without needing to make multiple arrests, arresting 9 involved in a small pro Palestine protest for failing to keep to the pavement as agreed and stopping those trying to enter Wembley without tickets. Nothing two tiered involved. Just efficient policing.

Before announcing that there are troublemakers and criminals in a crowd you need to identify them! Suspecting is not enough. Those covering themselves up with hoodies and masks cannot be identified until after they have been arrested. YL and his mates don’t bother with such things. They seek the notoriety and publicity of getting arrested. I think the police try hard not to provide that to them.

You can guarantee that multiple arrests were expected at the TR rally by plod and other agencies. The fact it didn’t come to pass must mean that a ‘well done’ should even come from people like you! Although you probably don’t want to bite your lip off saying it.

The bbc will find the lowest reason to help their bias.
