Despite its huge numbers, Humanity only occupies a tiny part of the globe. Of course, we could always be centrist and negative like you and dither along for years while Europe is over run by our enemies. Let’s then hear some actual examples which you think are certain to be acceptable.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

The whole idea of 'smashing' gangs is pie in the sky. Organised crime will always exist all the time money can be made. We have to remove the market by making a trip to Britain undesirable. I hate to say it, but the Tories have the right idea. I said ages ago that illegals should be moved to a third place. Sending them home might be difficult so an alternative country is the best option. Someone has to start the ball rolling. Several years ago, I said that a new state should be created for illegal migrants, much like Israel was reborn for Jews. If any family members in other countries wanted to join their migrant relations, they could go there too, just like many Jews left the USA for Israel. It all makes perfect sense. Just get the map out and find somewhere. Unless we take radical action and soon, Europe is at risk of civil war and collapse.
There seems to be a general consensus on this board that illegal migration is what skews the overall immigration debate, with those arriving here through proper routes being tarred with the same brush as those who ‘jump the queue’. I know that the human rights brigade and the mob who protest against everything won’t like the removal of asylum seekers to a third country for processing but….
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

There is a current problem with immigration, but legal migration. Mainly the post-brexit importation from India in particular. The 2023 total of 730,00 is clearly too much, it is typical of the brexiteer fantasy of increased control while having no control at all. We do need immigration, it is the driver of growth of which we have seen very little since 2010, and to support our public services and the expensive to maintain generation that enabled the tories, the age group 70+. The numbers of illegal migrants are not enough to make much difference to the figures.

The government did not have to massively increase the number of visas for students to come to this country. Now we are finding that the process is being abused by both students and colleges. Immigration is in the control of the government and they choose to lie to the public. We can limit it to the sectors that require it whilst forcing businesses to train and hire local staff. This may not happen over night but I would start by reducing the student visa scam sorry scheme.

Your summary sounded like him. Whilst the whole is rather more nuanced it is still just political click bait during an election. Something I disregard at all times and will be by Labour quite quickly too when they face the realities. The only way to solve the problem is by coordinated international action. It wasn't my summary. It was a direct quote.

Our growth under Blair was partly due to competitive labour costs through relatively cheap migrant labour. During those salad days our productivity was lower than our competitors.

Edited by Badger11 (09 Jun 2024 12.33pm) Insane levels of immigration since Blair....which is mainly into England is madness and largely based upon wishful thinking by leftists/social liberals and the business lobby....and I want accountability for it. England is physically smaller than New York State. Politicians and unelected officials are responsible for bankrupting this country and advertising it as a honey pot for parasitic third worlders. Poor immigration is a problem made and continued by the politicians of all parties of the UK, i am an immigrant.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |
