Pure speculation on my part but assuming the £35M release clause is true Palace have demanded one up front payment worsening a FFP problem for Chelsea. So Chelsea play hard ball in return , refuse the Hall loan, and ask £30M for him which pretty much solves the Olise deficit for them. Possible end result we lose Olise and Hall goes to Newcastle. There are clearly games being played here…..hopefully the Olise injury and the assumed up front payment demand results in him staying.
