They aint stupid and soon realise he is a businessman who knows nothing about football. They dont want to work for a chairman like that How much footballing knowledge do you think the chairmen of the big six clubs have?

With not much money to spend it isnt really an inviting job. I suppose you had to get something right. Not totally though as some still, like Hodgson , get a kick out of helping any players be better than they are and create teams that function well enough even against teams put together with ten times more money.

I think Parish knows a great deal about football but I do think he worries away about things a bit? He certainly hadn't offered Roy a one year extension before the end of the season. On the other hand Potter us still around and presumably available, as he hasn't got the Bournemouth gig?

What is your definition of football people, who own clubs? I cant think of one player, coach or manager that owns a Premier club. You are very unknowledgeable about managers, they would love to manage a Premier club, that is established after 10 years. The story Jordan tells about Steve Cotterill bombarding him with phone calls desperate to manage Palace, Jordan had to block his number.

The other owners have directors of football at their clubs so do yer research in future fellas otherwise you sound like James Blunts. Dougie Freedman should be interviewing managers not Parish. If the club needed new sun beds or the players needed to know which hairdresser to go to then SP is your man otherwise he knows bugger all.

You do realise that Freeman and Parish work together finding a new manager. Otherwise, what do you think a sporting director does.

Think Dennis Wise owns an Italian team too. Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville and David Beckham continue to help fund Salford, alongside majority owner Peter Lim. Prior to them selling a 50% share to Lim I think they were the primary owners. However, your point is taken and I believe the likes of Neville has said they are not business people and that has shown in their difficulties in running the club. That is because you are all Parish fan boys thinking the sun shines out of his backside. If he appoints Roy then we are going round in circles and this time next year we will be looking for a new manager anyway. Any true fan with half a brain can see this is not progress. If he has grown a pair and appoints a manager with vision for the future I will eat humble pie but as he knows more about sunbeds and haircuts than football I am expecting him to appoint RH again.

This is true. It's just that we or Parish rather havnt had much luck in finding the right younger manager. De Boer, then Vieira both didn't work out. They must have interviewed Potter, but no word on that one? It's too soon to throw McCarthy at the PL, so it's Roy and Ray, or an experienced European manager like Hutter? I just think wish they'd get on with it

Edited by Mwncisee (19 Jun 2023 9.56pm) Neville is business minded enough to pay minimum wages at the hotel he joint owns for all his political spouting. More on topic, being good at kicking a ball is one thing, everything else is another
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Agree with everything you have just said and unfortunately I think we will keep Hodgson. It’s really sad that a lot of our fan base will only see how pathetic it all is when we’re relegated. Happy to watch Hodgson take us down like he did Watford. It turned sour with us the first time watch it happen again but worse if he stays. Sun will still shine out parish ar*e if we go down probably. Then he will come out with one of his PR stunts making him look like a brilliant owner and that we’re making progress and the new main Stand will look brilliant in the championship Edited by EagleAlan78 (20 Jun 2023 2.42am) Edited by EagleAlan78 (20 Jun 2023 2.43am)
