Last night, over a tipple, my dear wife asked me which way I intended to vote and I told her I was stuck on the horns of a dilemma and was ruminating as to which horse to back. The latest survey has Johnson on 72% and Hunt on 28% and 71% of the respondents have already cast their vote.

Do you reckon Hunt will get into Johnson's front bench? Johnson's choices for his cabinet will be fascinating.....I wonder if Mogg will get in there.

Apropos Hunt for 'Front Bench, Hunt himself indicated that Boris would be in his Cabinet but Johnson didn't want to make any commitments in this respect.I suspect Hunt with his experience will remain in Cabinet. In terms of JRM, he has never been a minister so it seems unlikely he would be thrust into a Cabinet post.

Is there anyone that you speak positively about? Yes mate. Like I said before; I like Trump, Tommy Robinson, Haven, Cyprus, Love Island, raising money for charity, believing Palace are capable of 8th last season and being proud to be British. All positives. "Negatives" by your definition are thinking someone who writes insulting emails about the world's most powerful man (then gets caught) is a tosser and being disgusted by the practice of keeping your own turnouts in nappy sacks... Are you sure you know what positivity is? Not the first time you've asked me this tbf. Edited by ChrisGC (11 Jul 2019 11.26pm)

In an official communication he basically called a strategic ally and one of the most powerful people on the planet an idiot. It was unprofessional and stupid. He's shown incredible arrogance and should've been sacked. You don't put an opinion (even if it does form part of an official report) in those terms, and never in writing. As it is, the resignation is appropriate.

He is required to give opinions, it is in the job description give to him by The Queen. This was not Twitter, unlike how Trump does things.
